For me, the biggest I can comfortably conceal. Mostly 1911 style 45 but compact 38 or 9mm in light clothing. Basically the best choice is whatever you are comfortable shooting that you can put on target and it goes bang when you need it to do so.

A LCP .380 because I can always have it. A 9mm or a .357 always in the Glovebox. I was using a .38 LCR but even that wasn't an always.
Now the .380 is always and I'm not looking back.
The key here is always.

40 S&W most of the time. Could also be 45ACP, 9mm, 38SPL or 357MAG.
Ain't diversity wonderful?

indeed a sweet weapon. The 3inch barrel fits nicely in a pair of jeans. It also speaks with authority when deployed.

I carry a Makarov in an Alien Gear holster. I like that little pistol.

Anybody else read the whole article and wonder about the level of writing skill? The excerpt was enough. And no matter how often that is mentioned here, it never gets better.

Summer and light clothing, 380. Winter or heavy clothing, 9mm. Also, depends on travel. If I have to travel through California, I often take the 380 because it is legal there and don’t want to hassle with transport through.

I like the double action of the Beretta and the flip up barrel for easy checking to see if a round is in there plus cleaning.
BTW - always a good idea to check out profile page, just saying.
