It begins to dawn that if the ‘rats had anything concrete and devastating on any conservative/Republican it would have been all over the news by now in pure self-defense - the libs own this one completely.....
I have no problem with people who are actually guilty of real offenses being brought to task; but I get a creepy feeling when I see a frenzy like this, and men condemned and ruined through public opinion, and not through Proof.
I would normally agree with your statement except for two points in these current accusations.
1. They are being made against rich powerful men who have the resources to fight false allegations.
2 The fact that most seem to either admit their wrong doing or just they just accept the accusation would allow us to assume they are in fact true.
The one common theme that comes out afterwards is the report that people close to the individuals are not surprised and everybody was aware of what was going on.
Your right, they voted against God.I heard boo’s for the vote in favor of God.They recently came out in favor of abortion as did the NAACP.
But the common *effect* is going to be many other opportunist women getting on the ‘bandwagon’; the public becoming inured, believing that every man does this; and who knows where and how it will end?
I’m uncomfortable with the tenor of the whole thing. The first one accused and damaged in this recent round seems to have been a pretty good man from Alabama. Other good men are going to be caught up in this, too.
This is all happening now in order to get a woman elected POTUS in 2020. Doesn’t matter who she is, just that she be a woman (but not a transgender; that is still a few election cycles away).
The answer to that is to fight back.
We still have libel and slander laws.
Take them to court and make them prove their accusation.
Giant of the Senate......go home like a good little boy Al.
What if they dont have the resources?
My point has been that this is becoming a witch-hunt which will reverberate throughout our culture/society. It wont just hit the people good or bad at the top, who have the resources to fight. Tactics like this have been used against good men, in smaller circles, for decades, now.
My initial response to TwelveofTwenty was in gratitude for his point about the Rule of Law. When, in our frenzy, we forget one of the most basic and profound principles of our legal system (presumption of innocence) our entire system and one of its most important guarantors of Freedom, begin to fail.
(It doesnt matter that these accusations/condemnations of individuals happen to serve political aims of the moment.)
Read about FDR.
Had you ever heard of William F. Buckley, Jr.? Your recap of American political history leads me to believe the answer is no.
Then there was the Republican counter-revolution of 1995 when they realized - yeeehaaa! - that they didn't need to keep Gingrich's contract with America and set about getting their fair share of the pork - and lookkee where we all are to day.
Buckley was a very minor player in the media at the time.
He did a fair amount with what little he had. Better than nothing, for certain. He helped keep some conservative ideas alive.
National Review was one minor political magazine.
Consider his influence on society compared to Time, Look, NewsWeek, even Reader’s Digest and National Geographic.
The buffoonish Antonio Villaraigosa was chairing the Convention when the Democrats booed God. Even that clown couldn’t believe it was happening.
Stood there in awe. They wished their wish.
I believe they aren’t fighting the assertions because the situations have a basis in reality. The perverts are VERY monied so they can afford the best attorneys . Why not fight then?
That’s how it seems today.
But be prepared for the inevitable blowback.
(And think about the future, and all of the ‘little’ people caught in the larger process.)

go the 1:50 mark and you enjoy the fun again, as hapless Tony Villaraigosa loses control of the vote and both he and God get shouted down... probably a very rare instance of of the two being on the same side....
