According to foreign media reports, the Israeli fire was reportedly carried out from Lebanese airspace. The reports said that in response anti aircraft missiles were fired on the plane. In the past, Israel has reportedly carried out attacks against Syrian convoys and installations, in order to prevent Syria from transferring sophisticated weapons to Iran’s local proxy Hezbollah.

Maybe. ( firing from afar would be logical to provide more time to avoid any enemy fire but on the other hand the IDF can neutralize that if it wishes so—�?) I dunno - I only read what we are fed

Yes..... tend to think they probably did take out ‘something’ in that area. Israel isn’t going to let the Iranian base stand as it appears to be ongoing to establish it so close to them . Diplomacy takes quite awhile and though the issue of the base is on the table they’re not going to take unnecessary risks that endangers their people....neither would we.
