“Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) said Wednesday he interviewed a recently retired FBI supervisor who told him he was instructed by Deputy Director Andrew McCabe not to call the 2012 Benghazi attack an act of terrorism when distributing a report on the FBI findings to the larger intelligence community.”
Why is this not the most listed as breaking news on Freerepublic. This is the most important story of the day.
Not sure.I missed it when The Hill broke it over a month ago. I’d sure like to see some verification of the actual timing of youtube comment by McCabe. If it was during the attack, it seems to me it was pre-planned. How would anybody know the reason for the attack so soon?
Hillary was the first to use the "Youtube video" excuse.
10:38-39 p.m., 9/11/12. @StateDept tweets: " #SecClinton: I condemn in the strongest terms the attack on our mission in Benghazi today. http://state.gov #Libya" and "#SecClinton: We have confirmed one @StateDept officer was killed in #Libya. We are heartbroken by this terrible loss." Hillary Clinton issues a statement, saying, "I condemn in the strongest terms the attack on our mission in Benghazi today. As we work to secure our personnel and facilities, we have confirmed that one of our State Department officers was killed. We are heartbroken by this terrible loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and those who have suffered in this attack." She adds: "Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind."
That was when Hillary herself took over the Cairo embassy Twitter account and personally posted. (anyone who thinks she wasn't directing the earlier Tweets is smoking something) That was at 10:38 PM Eastern Time. That would have been 4:38 AM Sept. 12th in Benghazi. About the time Woods and Doherty were making their last stand.
Oh well, it doesn't look like he is going to be around much longer anyway..
The Panetta DoctrineOn Benghazi, Panetta Says Needed 'Advance Notice' of Surprise Attack for Timely Response
They had real-time onsite video, secured e-mail and were speaking with personnel at both compounds over at least two lines of radio transmission and cell phones. There were two drones overhead. All of that was live-streaming to the entire DoD-DC network of sit-rooms around the world including the White House.
Did Panetta expect al Qaeda to call in with GPS-camera phones and relay their plans and positions to him? Maybe we can air drop laser sighting tags throughout the Muslim world and ask them to all kindly affix one to the tops of their heads? With barcodes too so we can target specific jihadis. Oh, and let's require that terrorists submit detailed plans of attacks to a committee for review at least six months in advance.
On that last point we actually did know their plans a month in advance.
Herridge On Cable Month Before Benghazi Attack: "Smoking Gun Warning Here"
My main reason for the prior post to you was to remind/inform you and others of the earliest known source of the "video was responsible" line of BS. Evidence that was never reported by any other source that I know of and never once brought up in any House or Senate committee.
Also I wanted to underscore this information about McCabe's role in the video excuse with its earliest known source. I'll let you and others decide if there are dots to connect there. :-)
Well it is another dot that suggests McCabe is a Clinton toady..
