They also abandoned Rush Limbaugh when his sponsors were being attacked a few years ago. That’s why I was always surprised when they started advertising with him again.

This appears to be virtue signaling, and little more. Are these companies corporate sponsors and contributors? Aside from the discounts they offer members, is there a actual loss of revenue to NRA? I assume the credit card produced some revenue.
I have never used my NRA discounts, because I have the same discounts through other associations. So they can't impact me, and perhaps most of us financially, if we find we need to use their services. But, I'm guessing most NRA members will use other companies.
