All true, but bottom of a rolling wheel is in fact stopped.
If not, tires would not last for long.
My fathers family enjoyed frog hunting.
Most would gig them, the best would catch them by hand.
One night they came back with a huge bullfrog, with some large drumsticks.
Was excellent on from the BBQ.

Lets look at the definition of stop
1.(of an event, action, or process) come to an end; cease to happen.
“his laughter stopped as quickly as it had begun”
synonyms: conclude, come to an end/stop/standstill, cease, end, finish, draw to a close, be over, terminate; More
2. cause (an action, process, or event) to come to an end.
There is no mention of a resumption of the event, action, or process.
The definition of the word pause however fits precisely the command implied by the common use of a traffic stop sign.
Verb
1. interrupt action or speech briefly. “she paused, at a loss for words”
synonyms: stop, cease, halt, discontinue, break off, take a break; More
noun
1. a temporary stop in action or speech.
“she dropped me outside during a brief pause in the rain”
synonyms: stop, cessation, break, halt, interruption, check, lull, respite, breathing space, discontinuation, hiatus, gap, interlude; More
This illustrates how the language is used in a somewhat imprecise and nuanced manner. No, decimate no longer means reduce by one tenth nor is font just a particular size, weight and style of a typeface used by a typesetter. Theres a lot of picky objections to the use of some words on this forum while similar colloquialisms are written by the very same critics.
Maybe you might try not being so literal. An actor cant be a star unless he is powered by fusion reactions and has a body temp of about 6,000 degrees K either, but the beauty of the English language is that is flexible and nuanced.

IIRC the term used is ‘instantaneously stationary’.
Kind of like ‘stopped’, but nuanced.
I think?
We should check with J. Kerry, he knows nuanced.
Soy is like estrogen. Cut out the soy for mom and babies would be safest.
[[There is no animal so endangered that the Chinese will not kill it for food or an aphrodisiac.]]
Good point- I think it’s the ‘thrill’ of eating something that is about to disappear that gets them all excited and horny- it’s not that the actual foods are aphrodisiacs- it’s just the fact that the chinese engage in illegal activities around the world that excite them
There is a saying about if the sun shines on it’s back, they will eat it.
Funny!
Is that a psychedelic toad?
Give it a quick lick and tell us about your experience?
Maybe read some Carlos Castaneda to prepare for your trip.
No, its a toxic toad. Its toxins can kill a dog................
I would not want any dogs injured.
But Freepers are plentiful and sometimes undernourished.
Some like the meat of the blowfish?
All in the preparation.
They say lima beans are poison, the one in c-rations might have been, but I lived to tell.
I’m not a drinker, but I heard that beer will wash away most poisons.
Try a bit of fricasseed toad, might be OK?
I would not try it. Too many other good things to eat like rattlesnake and grasshoppers....................
No
Blue plate special on the I HAVE A LIMP DICK menu.
Not quite sure why you thought of me for that post...
I just replied to your ping with my usual utterly unfiltered random outburst.
:)
Yet Pelosi is still sucking air.
