I have to wonder if this was UK payback for Trump favoring Brexit

It's much deeper than that.

There is an unspoken understanding among the ruling classes of Europe, the UK, Australia, NZ, Canada, and of course the US that a world governing structure made up of a "global economy", "international law", and "transnational institutions" is both necessary and desirable, and that furthermore the US should and will provide expeditionary forces to bring minor objectors into line, such as Saddam and Gadaffi, with reserve nuclear forces to threaten and contain potential outsiders such as Russia.

If the price is more US debt to the international banks and a few thousand dead deplorables every ten years or so, so what?

Brennan and his counterparts share a perfect understanding, with the rubric, "think of it aways, speak of it never". Eight years of "Obama" was more than they could ask for.

Trump was a true nightmare, a nationalist zombie rising from the grave, someone who not only was not on board but who had enough brains and enough international business experience to have at least a vague understanding (much better now, I'm sure) of what was afoot. As soon as they realized it wasn't a joke, they swung into action to stop him, and I don't believe that they are finished, not by any means.

The movie "They Live" illustrated the shock the globalists must have felt when Trump started his string of victories:

Do I detect a couple of common threads running through these associations?

BE CAREFUL.

Basically it’s a license to spy on your own people by using a trusted ally to do the deed and then we return the favor by spying on one of theirs.

Quite convenient and there’s no accountability.

—— and all other potential office holders——

Ihave been trying to make that point for a long time but it just doesn’t register in the anti sessions blather.

The universal extent of those being surveiled is held close to the trump vest. T h presstitutes dare not go there on literal pain ofdeath. Seth Rich is the example

The damage to our democracy...

America isn't a democracy, it's a Constitutional Republic.

Are you a democrat (an advocate or supporter of democracy) or
a republican (a person advocating or supporting republican government)?

You're self identifying as a democrat right now through your word choice.

From John Solomon’s article on The Hill June 2-
http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/390228-london-bridges-falling-down-curious-origins-of-fbis-trump-russia-probe

“On July 23, 2016, shortly after WikiLeaks released the first hacked Clinton campaign emails, the Australian government contacted the State Department’s deputy chief of mission in London about Downer’s May 10 conversation with Papadopoulos. State forwarded the information to FBI headquarters.”

From NPR March 6 2017
https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/03/06/518797121/faq-on-alleged-wire-taps-of-trump-communications

Nov. 7, 2016: The website Heat Street posted a piece by former Conservative British politician Louise Mensch stating that “two separate sources with links to the counter-intelligence community have confirmed” that the FBI twice sought warrants to “examine activities of ‘U.S. persons’ in Trump’s campaign with ties to Russia.” The article states that a June warrant request was denied, and that a second request in October was approved.

Jan. 11: The Guardian reported that a June application by U.S. intelligence to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court had been denied, and that the newspaper had not confirmed the Heat Street reporting about an October order.

Jan. 12: The BBC reported that the June application had been denied, and quoted “a lawyer outside the Department of Justice but familiar with the case” saying the court had granted a request by U.S. intelligence to intercept electronic records from two Russian banks, and that the order involved three of then-President-elect Trump’s associates.”

Soo... The FBI was seeking a FISA warrant on the Trump campaign’s connection to “Russia” in JUNE 2016.. but they had not heard of the Papadopoulos comment through Downer until July 23, 2016.

But the NY Times tells us the Papadopoulos comment was the reason the investigation “began”..
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/30/us/politics/how-fbi-russia-investigation-began-george-papadopoulos.html

The Deep State FBI/Brennan/Clapper team was investigating/spying on/attempting to destroy the Trump campaign before they knew of Papadopoulos’ supposed knowledge of Clinton “dirt”. They had no probable cause. They tried to plant information with Trump campaign members in order to manufacture probable cause. By attempting to continue this sham after Trump won, they engaged in treason. They tried to get a FISA warrant in June 2016 before they knew about Papadopoulos’ comment (which is hearsay anyway).

Total fake document...there is one obvious issue that is commonly avoided the reporting . . . the use of a fake document with the help of overseas players to influence a Presidential election.

How did HRC’s law firm buddies know to go to GPS who then knew to go to Steele who then knew to get false information out of Russia and then get it into the hands of the FBI, the State Dept and Senator McCain? There is more to this than just “opposition research”. BHO administration had to “help” this process of getting people together.

What a frightening, and probably accurate, picture. The only variation is that the worldwide support for Islam will ultimately bring down civilization and dreams for an advanced worldgov.

lawmakers have been hampered by roadblocks set up by the DOJ, FBI and former senior officials of the Obama administration, who either have withheld documentation, evaded answering questions or lied.

BUL&*IT, Congress has their very own JAIL, just for people that LIE or REFUSE to answer Questions, or REFUSE to turn over documents, the Speaker or Senate Leader can Sign the Warrant and JAIL ANYONE except the President and Vice President.

Then there was this from Sara Carter: "In a December 2017 article, I interviewed numerous intelligence officials and whistleblowers, who say what happened in the Trump campaign is a microcosm of ongoing abuse of the intelligence apparatus."

Is it possible “Five Eyes” refers to five of the 17 federal intelligence agencies; such as, FBeye, DeyeA, eyeNR, EyeOA, and the ODNeye. (FBI, DIA, INR, IOA, and ODNI)?

The term "Five Eyes" officially refers to the intelligence alliance comprising the five nations Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It's governed by the UKUSA Agreement, which goes back to WW2.

In the intelligence community, they abbreviate it FVEY. For instance, on a classified document, the marking "REL TO USA, AUS, GBR, CAN, NZL", meaning the information can be shared with those five countries, can be shortened to "REL TO FVEY".

‘British Wiretapping’ has been monitoring/surveiling/spying on Americans for past Presidents since Truman, including Obama via the decades old 5 Eyes agreement. Harry Truman formed the CIA/NSA after WWII when he dissolved the OSS. None of the Five countries listed below would monitor/surveil/spy on its own citizens. That was done by the spy systems of the other 4 countries of the 5 Eyes.

Past British Prime Ministers have been implicated in various scandals involving wiretaps. Some were involved in the “Echelon” global surveillance system set up by the NSA with its counterparts in the other “Five Eyes” nations—UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Any one of these countries is able to circumvent domestic laws against spying on their own citizens by asking another Echelon member country to do it for them.

This is precisely the “wiretap shell game” used by the Obama administration to have British GCHQ spy on Trump, as outlined by Judge Napolitano and his sources.

To avoid unraveling the longstanding Five Eyes spying “wiretap shell game,” the GCHQ had to pretend they “routinely” came across this Trump-Russia wiretap data “by chance,” unprompted by requests from U.S. agencies (such as the NSA or CIA) or by Obama officials, working outside normal NSA chain of command on Signals Intelligence or SIGINT (as Judge Napolitano reported on March 14).

How long ago did Five Eyes aka Operation Echelon have the Brits spying on Americans and vice versa?

How about it started during WW II.

BBC on Echelon: Big brother without a cause?
The Echelon spy system, whose existence has only recently been acknowledged by US officials, is capable of hoovering up millions of phone calls, faxes and emails a minute.

Crack open a fresh beer or pour a big glass of wine and take a baby aspirin and then go to the link below for about 5 minutes. Remember while reading this. Echelon was retired decades ago by the faster and more powerful Muscular.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/820758.stm
Echelon has been replaced by the faster and more powerful MUSCULAR:

For info on Muscular go to the link below:

Muscular has probably been replaced by Prism.
For info on Prism, go to the link below:

“Also according to The Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald even low-level NSA analysts are allowed to search and listen to the communications of Americans and other people without court approval and supervision. Greenwald said low level Analysts can, via systems like PRISM, “listen to whatever emails they want, whatever telephone calls, browsing histories, Microsoft Word documents.[30] And it’s all done with no need to go to a court, with no need to even get supervisor approval on the part of the analyst.”[44] He added that the NSA databank, with its years of collected communications, allows analysts to search that database and listen “to the calls or read the emails of everything that the NSA has stored, or look at the browsing histories or Google search terms that you’ve entered, and it also alerts them to any further activity that people connected to that email address or that IP address do in the future.”

For info on Prism, take another baby aspirin and grab another beer or glass of wine and go to the link below:
