Are you referring to post 50 by Darksheare? What he said didn’t matter, Jim did not change his mind from those two posts and eventually locked the thread.
The whole thread is an interesting study of what a lack in strategic thinking looks like. Amazing and sad it took place here on FR.

Perhaps hg translates better in person than in the printed word, because a person has to read way, way, way back to find something he had written as a comment or otherwise that wasn’t snarky or otherwise mean spirited. I have read him make stabs at Laz himself.
Although I have agreed in principle re: blog pimping, his methods are sometimes over done. I wonder what effect neutral, negative or otherwise he has had, and if any change has transpired since his absence over a month an a half ago.
I do hope all is well with him personally.
I just hope that when he returns it will be less caustic when interacting with others, excepting the blog pimps, perhaps they deserve a portion of his vitriol.

It wasn’t hard for Jim to understand. He made his decision and stood by it.
Earlier replies said death in the family I think, taking a break.
