How long can they hide it. For the rest of our lives, never a dull moment.

Yup. Absolutely not flat. There are hills in the East, West, down south, and in the West. Kansas ain’t flat either.

Uh, uh, no we’re not beyond full employment because everybody has a job. Nope. According to that crazy, bug eyed what’s her name, Ocasio-Cortez? Yeah, that’s her. She say’s the reason we have such low unemployment is ‘cuz everybody’s working TWO jobs. Betcha didn’t know that huh? :-)

Worth mentioning that financial services and insurance are the biggest employers (along with medical). Also ag and food science, manufacturing, data centers for Apple, Facebook, and other tech companies.

The west side of Des Moines metro (Waukee) and the east side (Altoona) are growing fast, as is farther north (Ankeny).

Uncrowded golf courses, tennis courts, and a LOT of biking and hiking trails.

Are you sure you’re not going to be in a rocking chair next to a spittoon muttering incessantly about Sessions?

Unlikely. The Deep State will have us all dead by old age.

However, in the unlikely event we make it that long, I shall be sure to not let my wheelchair damage your Sessions Shrine.

In that, Des Moines and the surrounding area stand as an example of what might be coming for the national economy, both good and bad.

There is absolutely NOTHING bad about full employment and wage growth, growth that exceed inflation.

This is why economics is called the "dismal" science. I wish they'd all hang themselves.

you can’t entice workers to join your company if you don’t offer more money.

The Cheap Labor Pimps aren't paying attention.

yet businesses (in the trucking industry) have not yet shown much willingness to cut hours, boost pay, and improve conditions to lure workers in.

CAN they raise pay? As it is now workers are expensive as hell.

While President Trump’s name does not appear in print in the article, every sentence vibrates with his presence.

But I haven’t seen wages go up very much. A lot of places can’t find workers — you can’t entice workers to join your company if you don’t offer more money.

Western PA, Westmoreland County, carpenters wanted- $33/hr., Sheetz $11-12/hr, $5,000 signing bonus for nurses, $12-15,000 bonus for long haul truck drivers, bonuses for heavy equipment operators, welders, machinists, almost anyone that has even limited skills can find a good paying job.

I was in NC a few weeks ago, and every where I looked, I saw "Help Wanted" signs for all kinds of positions.

$33/hours is $66,000 per year for 50 weeks and without overtime.

Welders in this county are now earning over $100,000 per year. That sounds like decent money.

Can you get me a job as a gigolo to college-age girls?

I can do that, unfortunately for you, you will need to perform more than 'one trick' every other day.

You wouldn't last long enough to pay the rent on a double-wide.

“Full employment — that magical economic state, in which everyone who wants work has it, and at a good wage too — finally seems to be near.”

...but it’s Trump’s ‘tone’ that will have me vote Democrat.

(LOL)
