I appreciate your comment.
I have tried to do the ‘hydroponic’ thing’ however with a septic system the amount of ‘growth fertilizers’ that are necessary need to be dumped out every week - and that KILLS a septic system.
I now grow with a series of EarthBoxes with their proprietary drip systems...
We have jalapeño, serrano and swiss chard every day all year long...
Those who want tomatoes, etc have to have brighter lights and need to pollinate, daily, with at small paint brush...
Overall it cost about $750...and NO harm to our septic tank/drainfield...
Best to you, Friend.
I’ve grown hydroponic tomatoes and yes, they were tasteless, horrible. Can’t beat growing them in aged horse manure.
Where are you going to get the electricity to run it?
You can make something like this that runs without electricity. You need some glass, wood and maybe a small wood stove.
It is called a greenhouse.
The only place this makes sense in an underground bunker that is supplied with electric power from a underground river.
The only innovation I see is getting the marks to part with seven grand, when this kind of product has been sold for under $200 for many years. Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
