I’ve been fascinated for decades by the testimony of many who have come back to tell us of ‘near death’ experiences. I believe that some of them have experienced something that is real, and that the ‘life review’ is real; and I’m sure we are all going to cringe over some of the things that we’ve done. (I cringe over some memory almost daily, and I haven’t needed to ‘die’ in order to do that :-)
But it seems to me that the supreme messages that they come back with are that we really judge OURSELVES; that God is Love; and that everything is exactly as it should be, even though it often doesn’t seem so.
One of my favorite writers on spiritual subjects was told by his own mentor at one time: “You are trying so hard to be perfect that you are good for nothing!”
We are all going to goof up sometimes; and we can’t worry about that. We just have to keep a goal and ideal of seeking wisdom, and doing better, throughout our lives.
Guilt doesn’t help much. Constantly developing new and better ways to think, and resolutions to live by them, do help.
I also enjoy going to Whole Foods, though I don’t go often because it is a half hour drive away. I’m sort of a Bohemian/health nut, so an excursion there is a fun trek for produce, gluten free foods, natural soaps and delicious sauces. Worth a special trip!
