Yes indeed. I remember vividly as a boomer being shut down by several well educated and intelligent young women when I broached the subject of marriage and family. Everyone was ‘busy being free’, to quote a chapter heading in ‘Loose Change’ a book that tells a lot more than the authoress knew when she wrote it. It is still worth reading and it is a damning self portrait of the ‘smartest generation ever’.
Minnesota has the highest percentage of any of the states along the Canadian border (except for New York and Washington State). How much of that is Obama sending Somali refugees there?
Add on anchor babies and who knows what the percentage is.
And the first generation of immigrant children are raised to be Democrats.
Yup, yup, some of this stuff defies logic and drives me NUTS!
Personal example: An old aunt and uncle of mine, who emigrated to the USA as adults from the same formerly communist country that I came from as a boy 46 years ago, eventually settled in California - and always voted Democrat. WTF????!!??
I take it as a personal affront when I see some Democrat-progressive moron with a last name that is instantly recognizable as hailing from the same former commie country that I came from. I want to reach through the TV, grab ‘em by the lapels, and scream in their face: “Do you realize that your parents/grandparents gave up everything including their families to come here in order to GET AWAY from that kind of stuff???!!!”
Disagree. There are two cultures that have shown themselves to be suprisingly resistant to the Cultural Marxist “brain virus”, not to mention to the Mohammedan threat.
They are China and Japan. Those two places are where the center of civilization will (once again) swing towards as the West collapses, as it did during the last Western “Dark Ages” ...
... the $64,000,000 question in my mind is whether some part of the constituent USA will be able to continue once the Marxists have collpased the whole, or whether, given the pervasiveness of “social media” (God how I hate that term!) will spread the rot equally to all 50 states ... I am not optimistic in this regard ...
After I retired in NYC I made up my mind to emmigrate to America.
According to that map I succeeded in moving to the MOST American state, West by God Virginia!

Not correct. I have spent 20 more years actually living in India and had close contact with about 200 close relatives there.
Indians are born to be businessmen. They are the most successful group whichever countries they adopt. In Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa, and UK have lots of Indian owned businesses and are making more money than any other group. I just returned on Sunday from a 8 day cruise in Caribbean. In the ports of St Kitts and St Maartens most precious gems and metals stores were owned by Indians.
Since India discovered capitalism as a better method to create prosperity over the previous method of central planning bureaucracy, Indian economy has grown faster than any Western country.
The only people In India who wish free stuff are the same as in USA, those with no desire to compete in the main street economy.
Indira Gandhi belonged to the Congress party, which was Nehru’s party. That was 5 decades ago. Things have changed a lot since then with the defeat of Congress party. Indian economy is now growing faster than any Western country for a couple of decades.
