I think I paid 75.00 for each and they came with clips, a little holster and a cleaning rod thingie.
I don't think they were ever used as they look brand new.
They use a funny 9mm called Mac9mm.
People ask me "Why do you carry a handgun?" in which I reply, "So I can fight my way to the shotgun!".
Don’t tey use a 9×19 necked down cartridge? Perhaps a bit more power than 9mm as most of us know it.
The Glock 19 is not a full sized 9mm. It is a compact 9mm. The Glock 17 is the full size 9mm.
Wow, there really are a large number of 9MMs with large capacity mags around today.
I can remember when the only high capacity 9’s were the Browning Hi-Power and a French made one which was rare. Eventually S&W brought out the model 59.
It has been around 25 years since I could buy about any one I wanted.
I do see some pretty good looking ones made in Turkey at good prices. Anyone tried them out?
Actually the Makarov is 9X18. It can shoot .380s too, which is kinda cool.
I had one of those Makarov’s made in Russia in 9mm Mak.
It was a truly excellent gun. Unusually accurate and reliable too.
Agreed, I’ve got a G19 and it is considered compact while the G17 is the full sized 9mm. There’s also a G26 subcompact. Since these are all “in family” as 9x19 Luger, double-stack polymer framed, striker fired pistols... There are really only two distinguishing characteristics: barrel length and magazine capacity.
I’m mainly an Xd9 guy, but there is a big reason to go Glock: their mags are nearly universal, and entire other gun systems have been built around them, including the outstanding PSA AR-9 “pistol” which has the ergonomics of an AR, but in a 9mm blowback design. And it uses all Glock 9mm mags.
So I could buy some of the .380 bullets and just load them and use them?
Sigs all the way! I’ve got a fair number of them, but I’m partial to the P938, P226 and P229. Carried a 226 on active duty, so Sig and I are good friends.
My all-time favorites, however, are the P220 Compact SAS and the 1911 RCS - both .45s.
Education is a wonderful thing folks. Too bad today's schools are not the place to get it.
9x19 isn’t necked down, but the Tokarev 7.62 x 25mm round is. It’s considered a pretty decent round for body armor penetration.
I love my XD-9!
I wouldn’t without a gunsmith’s exam and okay. Some Makarov’s imported in the ‘90s were chambered in .380. I honestly don’t know if the 9x18 Mak’s can shoot both. I know I wouldn’t.
I am a 1911 guy.
I have a Beretta 92, very accurate, easy to shoot. DA/SA trigger and sights keep it in the safe.
I recently shot a P320/M17. Sig got it right. Intuitive, great trigger for a striker. Was able to clean Biacnchi plate rack at 25 yards the first time I handled it. Buying the X-Five variant later this year.
Exactly the same with me. Have had mine 10 years and the same service record as yours after about 2000 rounds through it. I did fit mine with a Tick and a laser/LED strobe combo. That helps the accuracy.
For me, it’s a CZ-75BD for a full-sized 9mm.
I also like the M&P 9mm and the Glock 17.
I have 2 Xd9s, ten mags, and 2K of 9mm ammo.
You might say I’m a fan.
As 9mm’s go, I love my G19. It’s an older model, but always works fine. Been carrying it for years. Never failed me.
