We’re trying to forget him and his movies.
I realized a long time ago that most celebrities are human garbage. Because they have a desirable talent in one area, they are given special treatment that they begin to feel is their just right and that they are superior beings whose opinions should dominate all thinking. I just enjoy the performance of the actor or musician or sports star or politician and ignore their personal views. Other than a small handful, the views of most celebrities are worthless, at best, and often just evil. Robert DeNiro and his unnatural interest in children would fall in the latter group.
Simone was a tough guy and a nut and psychopath. Deniro thinks he is a tough guy by osmosis. His most accurate scene in good fellows was his cellar entrance into the copa. That is exactly how it was was done. I think he was cast in too many thug roles so his go to lines are from some b level
