I wish Rush would knock off calling him “Mayor Pete.” To be frank, it is a typical gay male diminutive - they often call each other Bobby and Petey and Johnny; they are always regressing to adolescence as Freud pointed out.

I disagree there are homosexuals that consider themselves Christian, my sister in law is one of them. Devout Catholic in her beliefs. Lot of gays think of themselves as Christians, be it attending Catholic, Lutheran, United Church, Protestant, etc.
