I thought we were talking about revolvers?
Both are fine choices. Many might s*** on small caliber chamberings but IRC .22 LR and .25 held the title for a long time. Shot placement rules most engagements IMHO.
Great minds think alike and all that.
You as well.

Bingo ..... first handgun I bought with my own money as a kid. Very very accurate . Lots of wild game from bunnies to squirrels and thunder chickens ....... H&R 999 !
Have a few of the Beretta 70’s and 71’s even a target 76 . Magazines are hard to find these days .
Yes, however .22 was mentioned and I mentioned my pistols. What’s the big deal?
The Ruger GP-100 in .22 (10 shot) does not get mentioned? I think it comes with a 6-inch barrel, however an 8-inch would be optimal for a little bit more than just plinking.
To add to your good post, I have a couple of 1911-22 lr pistols which have 15 round magazines. With five inch barrels running CCI ammo, they are reliable and deadly. Can tote them cock and locked for excellent trigger control. Laser under the barrel ... what’s not to like?
Do you ever twirl your pistol, like trick shooters?
That would make it a ‘revolver’, right?
No and yes.
You need to send that gun back to the factory for repairs. They will take care of the the problem (I have some experience with Ruger service, and they are very good).
I’m surprised they didn’t have the Ruger Single Six mentioned in this artice. That is a tremendous revolver, and can be had with adjustable rear sights, unlike the Bearcat (which is named after a car, BTW).
I will dig it out and contact them, was just plain disappointed in the fact that it did it enough that I lost faith in it.
Only a .22 mag, but my daughter is tiny with small hands and arms, it was better than nothing and she wasn’t afraid of it at all. Probably the biggest reason I bought it in that caliber.
S&W K-22 Target Masterpiece.
It is not a revolver, but nothing can beat a Ruger MarkII/II/IV series .22 pistol. It is dead-nuts on.
