Hopefully the rioter had a few minutes to reflect upon his poor life choices and error of his ways before he died his ignominious death.
27 minutes in. Tough to watch you can see how it happened they were beating on the cab trying to get in. The driver might have remembered the poor guy in the LA riot. Unclear how someone ended up trapped between wheels but the driver had no clue.
Probably dragging his “grill” on the pavement.

I just love how the protestors (terrorists) are pounding on his rig and trying to break into the cab, then when the driver guns it they beg him to stop because he just ran someone over.
bet it made an indelible impression on the homeboys who were watching.

The truck drivers intent was not to kill anyone but protesters illegally impeded and attacked his rig. Any sane judicial ruling would not hold the truck driver responsible for illegal attacks by protesters. The idiot who got killed was from his own stupid fault.
He chose poorly.

I was only about a year into commercial trucking in winter 02-03 when on my first visit to Louisville, I made a wrong turn after taking the wrong exit off of I-65 near downtown. 1am and I’m on Muhammed Ali Blvd, knowing that if I go straight east a few blocks I would find a busy north south road. About 200’ ahead a man jumps out to block my way. Thinking he may not be alone, I kept moving until about 100’ away. Then I downshifted, and went hammer down. No air horn. I wanted him to get the full effect of the big engine powering up. That I was speeding up, not slowing down.
He jumped out of the way, thankfully. I looked in my mirror and saw another fellow walk out from behind a parked car. So my hunch was right about there being more than one.
I made to the street ahead and got to the riverfront and back on I-65, and glad to have not gotten hurt or hurt anyone else.
Can’t somebody cut this crap down to a minute? It’s a total waste of time!
