Saying your experience is something that some other human couldn’t understand is about the most stupidly arrogant thing I can imagine.
The guy had better run as fast as he can. She is obviously obsessed with race and is going to find that he’s “racist” no matter what he says or does.

So many issues with this I don’t know where to begin.
First, she says she “bi-racial”. But she seems to have no sensitivity to the 50% of her identity that is not black.
Her boyfriend (or husband) is white, apparently, and she uses one of the most offensive words to describe him: “privilege”. Basically she’s pissing all over any hard work he has done to get where he is, not giving him credit but tagging him with one of the most insulting terms.
She expects him to be sensitive and understanding of her experience but she seems to have no regard at all about his experience.
Why put up with this crap from someone? There are plenty of women out there who will appreciate him for who he is, regardless of his race, and not constantly run the relationship through the prism of the offensive labels (especially not use it for content in one of her “journalism” articles.)
No woman is. This man’s gonna learn a lesson the hard way.

I find it interesting how most “biracial” persons self-identify as Black. What is the cutoff threshold? Is this a case of the one-drop rule? If being Black means being oppressed, then why would they want to self-identify as Black?
This “article” could have been, and probably was, written by the equivalent of a TV show writing team with the usual agendas.

This is NOT written by some “black woman” or “biracial woman”. It is an agenda written in first person by creating two characters: woman and man, fill in the skin tones and fill in the attitudes desired to make the point (for the Huff post).
Boo frickin’ hoo. Any marriage is hard work when all facets of life — religion, race, culture, politics, etc. — are pretty much equal. Why purposely throw in a factor that can only make life harder? No sympathy. Both of them needed to make better choices, and there’d be two happier people today, most likely.
