The Latina voted that Florida felons. MUST pay fines before voting. To me that’s pretty significant and if chosen by trump I’m happy.

we have the votes to push through anyone we want, we cant take any chances on someone who will “evolve” over time while living in Washington. I’ve seen it happen too many times to us over my lifetime.

BTW, a active lower court Judge nominated to the USSC still must go through the vetting process again. The only exemption is a retired or sitting Senator.

I like the third women in contention. She’s 39! That’s who I want. The younger the better. 50 years on the court! Yes! Sick it democrats!

Yes, technically, but not practically. Try to get a staunch pro-life or pro-family Justice in there and the critical mass of RINOs in the Senate WILL no-bill him/her. We know the 3 or 4 suspects already.

Barbara Lagoa would be good pick. Likable on camera and will have Hispanic support for nomination, is from Florida and she is from a more conservative area so can be easily replaced.

There is simply not enough time left before the election for the emotional reaction of “How dare he replace the great feminist with a man!” to leave the minds of female swing voters. If she had died last year, it’d be a different story. It’s got to be a woman.

So people who are in for Trump will suddenly change their minds and livelihoods based on the genitalia of a judicial nominee (People who hate Trump are going to the polls anyway)?

If that is the case, this nation needs a lesson in self-awareness and implode/start over.

Sorry that we disagree. This is for all the marbles, no time to nominate a moderate. If 4 republicans break off then we vote them out at the first opportunity. And that’s assuming no Democrats like Joe Manchin gave their support. We can do what we want and with the libs threatening to pack the court we can’t pass up this opportunity.

Heck if Trump wins and we keep the Senate, WE should preemptively pack the court! Stick a stake in the commies!

Maybe I misheard while “listening between the lines” but something the President said yesterday indicated to me that ACB was not his preference. Will try to look for a video.

She’s not my preference, for sure. Nor is Lagoa.

I would ask her just one question. “Tell me why and how much you love guns.”

Barbara Lagoa would be good pick.

***************************************

I think this one is the worst. Her husband was General Counsel to Charlie Crist, and her father in law is a district judge appointed by Clinton.
To be fair, I don’t know much about her, but that is enough red flags for me.

The woman from FL scares me. Thin resume and looks a climber to me. I really hope we don’t get another nasty surprise

I'm already braced for impact. I trust no woman.

I want a justice who isn't going to drift to the Left. The Federalist Society is really losing credibility in my eyes with their supposed vetting of Roberts. Gorsuch is also suspect since he voted to extend the Civil Rights Act to trannies.

I want a fire-breathing right winger who actually does something.

> I’d be far more comfortable with Ted Cruz as the nominee than any sitting judge -

Great point, and I’ll abstract it. No politicians for president. No career judges for SC.

Apparently it’s Barrett or Lagoa. Both conservative. Lagoa worked on the legal team that tried to prevent Janet Reno from sending Eliana Gonzalez back to Cuba.

same.

You can ALWAYS tell when it’s a REAL conservative being nominated. The left tries to smear them with rape lies or sexual harassment lies or something of that nature.

When they are that desperate, they show they know the truth.

And as an added bonus you have someone with a grudge against liberals on the supreme court for a lifetime :)
