Shouldn’t be on the Supreme Court if he disregards our beloved Constitution to harbor grudges against a single person. Absolutely pathetic for that POS to harbor such feelings and then to incorporate them into his decisions.

He should resign.

Roberts is indeed the opposite of Trump. As a man he has the "backbone of a chocolate eclair", to quote TR.

His motivation, as Chief Justice, is to create as much unanimity on the Court's opinions so as not to 'rock the boat' too much and risk the Court losing credibility in the eyes of the public.

The fact that he has swum, his entire life, in a legal environment dominated by leftists, is why his "compass" for "the Middle" is set way off center towards the left.

Their hate will destroy them. Ask a liberal for a statement of fact and their heads will explode.

"It is difficult to come up with two human beings more antithetical than John Roberts and Donald Trump, in every respect," he continued.

From what I have observed, weak men tend to hate strong men. In fact, I would say that weak people tend to hate everyone and are the first to be willing to use whatever power they can to hurt others. Roberts does not strike me as a strong man, but Trump does. Therein lies the math.

Because? All these leftist liberal come out with hate and vitriol against Trump but never ever state a reason other than basic liberal hate diatribes.

The level of their hatred is inversely proportional to the validity of their reasons.

And they never notice.

"What are the role differences of the Chief Judge and the other judges on the Supreme Court?"

"Not A lot..."

Red Badger, you forgot one critical function of the Chief Justice, particularly in regards to his relationship with the Trump Admin.

The Chief Justice has unchecked and unsupervised power to appoint the judges who sit on the FISA court. Roberts has made five appointments to the FISA Court, four of whom were first nominated for the federal bench by Obama or Clinton.

Makes you wonder whether John Roberts knew more about the alleged coup than first thought.

Direct connection to Fisa? HMmmmmm.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Patriots, we've been oppressed under the boots of judicial tyranny for decades. But this is because post-17th Amendment ratification, constitutionally low-information citizens have been unthinkingly electing crook senators who confirm constitution-ignoring activist justices to the Supreme Court instead of working with the likewise corrupt House to impeach and remove such justices from the bench.

In fact, consider that corrupt Congress gets around its 1st Amendment prohibitions against making laws that stifle religious expression and speech by confirming activist justices who do legislators' dirty, unconstitutional work for them by legislating such laws from the bench.

Are we having fun yet? 8^P

The reality is that "US will fail from within" seem to boil down to the idea that fat, dumb, happy, and blame everybody but themselves, US voters are arguably their own worst enemies.

“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” —From Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, 16 January 1787.

The remedy for constitutionally failed federal and state governments…

Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government desperate Democrats home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a "third term" in office imo.

I don’t see any problem with voting Republican ticket for 2020 elections.

Insights welcome.

"o Justice Roberts is going to destroy the country because of his personal hatred of one man?"

Seeing as the way the Obama Administration worked to destroy this country due to their hatred of one man, it's a highly plausible scenario don't you think?
