Nope. When gambling, your odds of losing 100% of your bet is normally greater than a 50-50 chance.

With a traditional investment, such as a stock, bond or mutual fund your odds of losing 100% of your investment is very, very low.

Granted, there are variants, such as naked options and futures where you are risking MORE than your original “bet”, but that once again enters the realm of gambling if you haven’t adequately covered your risks.
