Well it would tell you his foot touched and is or is not riding the brake. It really is crucial information and very convenient to know

Most every vehicle and roadway feature is exhaustively tested before being implemented. I got my clauses out of sequence. If you’re so sure of your idea, get some funding, get it tested to prove it. If you can’t get someone like the TRB (Transportation Research Board), AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials), the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) or some similar agency to support the idea, then that should tell you something, and it’s dead in the water. That’s why I said case closed.

I still say it’s an idea that will cause more harm than good. Just like caution lights on straight roadways, or slower speed limit signs as an attempt to slow traffic down when road conditions don’t warrant. Drivers ignore them. They give people a false sense of security and result in a higher number of accidents and/or increased enforcement costs.

And lately on congested roads, there has been an increase in injuries and fatalities caused by drivers passing stopped school buses which have their flashing lights going as they should.

And that’s what will happen with another light color polluting the roadway. People will ignore them, because they’re oncoming traffic on an opposing traffic lane that’s braking. As a driver in my lane, it’s a distraction to me that I don’t need. Why do I need to know the driver coming in my direction is slowing down? If he wants to cross my lane, he has to yield to me. And I’m going to be watching his car. I don’t need a green light to alert me.

The expression of they idea is original and much like a musical piece it requires neither more nor less words. If you are too helpless that you need it read to you then please ask someone near you to help.

Thank you. I understand your argument, but again it is a fallacy to say an idea is dead in the water because it hasnt been tested. In fact if you read the paper it will tell you exactly what testing has been done. and that testing strongly supports my argument. Your other argument is an appeal to ignorance in the sense that it asks to reader to believe that because some people choose to ignore road safety rules, more crucial time sensitive braking information is bad. Sorry but I have to reject your argument.

I imagine that you must get into many traffic accidents. If you cant tell the difference between a light on a car and a traffic control standard, you should not be driving. and if you routinely pay so little attention that you distractedly glance up for a second to see what is happening and then bolt into reflexive action brfore diving back into your twitter feed then you should have your steering papers pulled.

Yeah! Or even better “ I saw the red lights in front of me and though it was a red light so I stopped in the middle of the intersection and got t-boned boy do I feel stupid every single time I do that!”

Have you ever actually driven a car? Come on dont lie.

Sure it can be done. But are you so intent on trying to dismiss the idea that you are willingly taking the position that even rear brake lights are a waste of time? That is the implication in your post

Oh. I nteresting. I will look into that for my truck since I would like a brighter light but dont want to blind people with something that seems to be on permanent high-beam coming toward you on a pitch black highway.

flashing amber is already taken as front hazard lights. they take over your turn signals in fact so you are unable to signal when your hazards are on.>

So what?

What happens to your tail lights when your hazard lights are turned on?

If you have a car that uses the same red tail lights for both stop and turn, they also flash when your hazards are turned on. But when you step on the brakes they light solid red, thus overriding the hazard function for the duration that the brakes are held.

Same would go for the front ambers. I fail to see any merit to your point whatsoever.

I learned to drive without power ANYTHING! No seatbelts. No padded dash or steering wheel. Also never had vax other than polio vax. Drank out of outdoor water hose. Didn’t have central heat or AC in OKLAHOM where it gets below zero in winter, above 100 in summer....

I think we were tougher back then and much more cautious...

so do car accidents generally and even 5 gallon bucket drownings... what is your point? we should get rid of airbags? Just disable the ones in your own car. No one else’s airbags will hurt you I promise

Lol you must be the resident html expert. colored letters and everything!!

Your contribution is nothing except to antagonize a legitimate poster.

You are probably even a fundraiser or self appointed moderator for Jim.

Honestly, each time you shitpost like that, you should post a meme of you kicking Jim square in the nuts as you drive traffic away from his site

I quit for the last 4 years because of anti Trump aholes who thought they were here to run Jim’s board. That cost Jim $250 for eack of those years.

Like I say, you should post that kicking jim in the nuts meme every time. Same with good ol’ Bungholetunger.. sp? Humble gummer?

You are a joke. Quit hurting Jim

It doesn’t matter what I think it means.

What matters is what Joementia and his Minions think it means.

Just to be clear, I was being facetious.
I thought it was obvious. Guess not.
