The GOP is always ready to propose good legislation when they have no power
.
.
.
This is their game.
It’s irrelevant since the GOP has no power in Congress.
Let them fill the stands with Dems.
Yeah, the pubbies are at their rhetorical best when out of power.
I won’t be fooled again.
No threats please (they don’t work), but ACTION NOW
Thanks to Travis for posting President Trump’s statement re our boycott!
It’s still cannibalization of the leagues, killing 1/3 of the clubs.
It harms small cities and damages the sport’s future fan base, not that there is a lot left after caving to the leftist bullies, but all the more reason why you don’t want to chase those small-city fans away.
Many Members of Congress signed a letter to MLB opposing the reduction, then it fizzled out (COVID.) Perhaps they might get on board with killing the exemption.
I’d be for total elimination of any exemption for any professional sports league. And repeal the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 (or 1962.)
I get your points, but what makes this any different than any other business organization, doing their own reviews and reorganizations for both short and long term reasons, that this deserves a negative connotation?
Are you aware of shady or malicious reasons why they did this?
If they were wanting to really have any effect they should have the Braves leave Atlanta. But we know that won’t happen. The path of least resistance.
