It is not an approved drug and is given under Emergency Use Authorization.
That means it can be used because it is a declared emergency and its use is considered to provide more benefit than risk. It is authorized for use in an emergency, it has not been approved by the FDA.
On another note, I’ve noticed that people love talking about their vaccine experiences and especially seem to be proud of having side effects.

I spent 21 years in the Army, and every year was required to get the flu vaccine, and every year got sick at least 2-3 times, sometimes violently ill.
I’ve been retired now for 10 years and haven’t gotten the flu vaccine any of those years, and have only been sick once. For what’s it’s worth, that was early Jan 2020, and I got something like I’d never had before, took me out for a whole weekend. I believe I had covid, after the fact my symptoms were similar.
I’m relatively young, in good shape, and no co-morbidities, so don’t plan on receiving the experimental injection. Unfortunately, I work for the Army and most of my fellow workers have gotten the shots. So far I’ve not been bullied, but am worried that the leadership will begin to make life difficult for those that have refused the shot.

I have talked to 100+ SENIORS in my condo complex of 120 units, and there is not a single person who experienced anything more than a sore shoulder, and tired feeling for a day or 2.
This fear porn being spread here is counter-productive.
Are the vaccines 100.000% safe? Does anyone know of any prescription medication without side effects? Are any of the other vaccines 100.000% safe? This is such infantile discussion.
Only thing that matters is are vaccinated people more likely or less likely to benefit from the vaccines. More people have now been vaccinated than combined votes for Trump+Biden. And there are no stories of a million people suffering dire consequences from the vaccines. That means the vaccines are 99+% safe.

In church on Sunday two ladies loudly and smugly bragged that they’ve had “both shots”, and sashayed around the room as if they’d done something wonderful.
Yesterday, the church secretary sent an email with a prayer request for one of them. The issue wasn’t spelled out, so I don’t know if it’s related. Anyhow ... bragged.

The robocall I got from Humana urging (telling) us to take the shot clearly stated that the “FDA has approved vaccines”. It didn’t say COVID vaccines; conveniently the word wasn’t there. The strong implication was that FDA has approved Covid vaccines. They tap danced around that one.
You are not alone. With these supposed “vaccines” having an Absolute Risk Reduction (ARR - look it up) of somewhere between .879% and 1.237% (depending on whether it’s Pfizer: .879%, Moderna: 1.237%, or Janssen: 1.176%), there absolutely is more risk taking the shot than not at all.
Sounds quite disingenuous.
