This year it has gotten exponentially worse. He was lecturing us about how “diversity” is the military’s greatest strength and other equally distasteful nonsense.

I've worked in large corporations, have dealt with government bureaucracies both in USA and abroad. Its fascinating how the group-think (and ultimately politics) of large bureaucracies develops and is reinforced. So many people choose the "blue pill" without even understanding they have chosen it. One thing that I always found special about the USA relative other countries was the relative neutrality of USA bureaucrats both as an ethos and in practice. Without a doubt, this is being destroyed

I haven't been in the military, but I imagine in many ways it could be the largest and worst bureaucracy there is - and its getting increasingly more reactionary bubble-think leftist. Obama pushed this hard, and now Biden's masters are finishing the job.

I see so many things in our government, military, media, big business and education establishments that are reminiscent, if not identicle, to the Soviet Union in the 1980s prior to its collapse that I believe one these two events is inevitable

Yes, it seems obvious, doesn't it? Increasingly centralized government and political control. Rule by elites, all promoting central planning and a top-down, globalist, utopian, post-modern ideology. Wars of revolution and covert influence literally all over the globe. Massive domestic social/moral issues covered up by media propaganda, printed money, massive debt or political brute force.

Where does this road end?

The only way to fix it is to make our elections honest.

You can not fix it with corrupt politicians. You must elect honest and truthful people and they will in turn select honest and truthful teams to fix it.

Your assumptions about today’s military are spot on. I’ve been inside & outside in industry supporting DOD for 40 now plus years. I’ve said before on this site that i was shocked on the number of left wing officers that i would run into. There’s always been a certain amount of group think in the military it goes with the territory of being a bureaucracy (Same for big corporations!). Now its magnitudes worse and accelerating! To advance in the organizations its no longer enough to quietly nod your head. Now you must visibly & publicly display enthusiasm with the “program”. That’s why I find it so hilarious that some members of this site want the military to directly intervene or there’s some secret group of them pulling strings. If there was and they intervened or were behind the scene pulling strings these FREEPers likely will not like the consequences, it certainly won’t be what they expect!

From my reading of American history, there has only been one Political General that won a war. Dwight Eisenhower.
..................................
I wasn’t aware that Ike was a political General, but if so can you provide a few facts to support that contention? Thanks.

Turns out he’s psychic. Oh, and I believe discharged.

ALL of this is a direct result of ALL of our elected and appointed failing to uphold the Constitution and swearing in a British subject/Kenyan/Indonesian non-natural born citizen in direct violation of the Constitution.

It is very bad... our military has been set up for failure.

Yep, and that’s why I discourage all military-age men and women to stay away from that burgeoning cesspool of “woke” degenerates.

I would never characterize our military as a “cesspool of woke degenerates”. That is both highly inaccurate and disrespectful. I come from a family with a long tradition of military service and my wife and I do volunteer work frequently and to an extent that you would never understand. But the officer corps is in trouble and this is because it was targeted during the Obama years and President Trump was not able to fix it.

Where does the road end?

___________________________

Ultimately it ends when one side fully and completely dominates and controls the other and right now the 1% are winning. They own big business, big media, big banking, stocks and bonds, real estate, food, medicine, manufacturing
farming and water rights, and thus by extension, they own the government. So, as I see it, either 99% of the population willingly submits to the 1% (elitists) or they revolt French Revolution style and finally hold the elitists accountable by imprisoning or killing them and seizing the wealth they obtained through corruption, graft. insider trading and nepotism.

I’m thinking this time it will be a combination or Russian and French. It will be chaotic with multiple factions involved:

White supremacists
Black supremacists (BLM, Black Panthers and inner city ghetto types)
Mexican supremacists (La Raza)
Antifa
BLM
Militias
Communists/Socialists
Conservatives (rural Americans)

And so many others. No one will be safe or spared. It will be a nightmare.

Think it already collapsed.

When a grizzled back street hustler from Wilmington manages to get control of the nuclear stockpile by thug tactics right in front of everyone, and no one dislodges him, it means the system already crashed.

Only thing worse would be a foreign mediocrity with a burning desire for revenge against the people who ignored her taking power...and she’s waiting in the wings.

If Milley really wants to understand the “rage” of the American people he should start by asking why he and his fellow generals can’t win any wars

Here let me fix it

If Milley really wants to understand the “rage” of the American people he should start by asking why he and his fellow generals had over 100,000 young Americans died in vain do to losing military actions since World War 2.

If you look closely at the rows and rows of ribbons on the uniforms of these perfumed princes, to use David Hackworth’s apt term, you might not see very many awards for actual valor. Lots of admin, smart looking uniform, shiny shoes and staff weenie awards.

Hi.

Imho, the entire U.S. government is corrupt and OOC.

Don’t care what alphabet agencies. Same same.

Example? U.S. troops will fire on you.

History tells us so.

Act accordingly.

The big nightmare is many of those will gain access to nukes and some are as bat crap crazy as the Iranians.

I had hopes the US military might make it another American type revolution but in the last year I have lost all confidence in the military as a bulwark against the communist, my God the chief of staff acts like one! At this point I think you are correct it will be a French/Russian version and it will be a bloody mess. The world will be plunged into the year 500AD all over again, a new dark age.

How does the USA fix this??

Unfortunately, many innocent people are going to get “bloodied noses” before they wake the phuck up and start pushing back hard against these government pussies.

We’re a sitting duck right now.

Eisenhower spent his entire career as a staff officer or an aid to a high ranking officer. he spent WW1 in Washington then a stent in the canal zone. After that he was on MacArthur's staff until WW2. Until he was chosen as Supreme Commander by Marshall & Roosevelt, he never was in command that I can find. Maybe commanded a regiment. However, he rose to the occasion and did one hell of a job.
That was not a criticism of President Eisenhower, it was just how I see him. Look at photos taken of him during and just after the war. One line of ribbon(s). Very un General like.
He was a political General. Patton and Bradley were combat Generals.
