Lets say that China invades Taiwan and/or Russia invades Ukraine. That would provide the ultimate distraction. Another possibility would be the mother of all false flags: a mass death event domestically to be blamed on “right wing extremists.”
Any national security crisis is just going to pave the road for a Biden impeachment.
