Fake news is real. And they lost their audience so CoVid lockdowns were a remedy for forced news audiences.
Do you think the average person out there that sees this obviously faked or exaggerated “story” puts two and two together and realizes the MSM “news” is similarly fake, exaggerating, and outright lying in other news “stories?”

I was watching a bit of their coverage last night. Cantore was doing his usual bit of “bracing against the wind,” with a small, overturned dumpster in the foreground. Then, he proceeded to move closer to the camera, in front of the next building and voila, no wind. Of course, you lose those dramatic sights/sounds required for a hurricane live shot, so let’s stand between the buildings and get the tunnel effect.
BTW, Cantore positioned himself right outside the Marriott, so I’m guessing we know where he stayed during storm coverage. Not sure if he saw any dead bodies floating past the hotel a la Brian Williams, but perhaps we’ll find out in the next live shot.
One more thing: apparently the “Me Too” movement is dead. Cantore’s current girlfriend is fellow Weather Channel meteorologist Britley Ritz. A few weeks ago, she posted a photo of Cantore “motor boating” her boobs while on vacation in Florida. To be fair, both are consenting adults, but once upon a time, media companies were concerned about the “dynamics” of such a relationship, where star performers could take advantage of younger employees.
If the Weather Channel is worried about those issues, you wouldn’t know it. And there is no visible evidence Cantore has used his influence to promote her career. But I’m sure it’s ruffled a lot of feathers, with a new, female meteorologist hooking up with the network’s star just months after joining the company.
For what it’s worth, more than a few at TWC refer to Cantore as the American Bald Ego.

To be fair, Cantore demonstrated the wind tunnel effect a few times when he was on the air, so at least he was honest about this. I wish someone had righted the trash container, however.
Seeing the roof ripped off the building on Toulouse St was a good enough visual; at least no one pointed out that the roof was, well, toulouse, perhaps because the devastation was so widespread and there was no time toulouse.

I remember when a hurricane came through Houston a number of years ago. A local reporter was sitting in a canoe doing her report giving the impression the street was really flooded and behind her a guy came walking past and the water was just past his ankles.

The best part of that story was the timing. The canoe segment was immediately after a story about fake news.
