My little brother has been a Captain for Southwest for over 20 years. With management’s encouragement he got the two doses of Pfizer over the summer. At his next FAA physical he was grounded because his heart was found to be swollen and inflamed. After months of repeated visits to specialists he is now considered permanently disabled. He is getting about a third of what he used to. He never had any history of heart problems and has always kept himself very physically fit. He is a mess now.
The problem is far less “rare” than we are being led to believe. Almost every doctor he went to had seen other middle aged pilots with the same problem after being vaccinated. This is the type of thing that causes other pilots not to want to get the shots.

Yea, the “no one will be fired” is disingenuous BS. United is not firing employees who were approved for exemptions, they are put on unpaid leave. At least if you’re fired you can go get another job rather than be stuck in limbo.

Maybe you can: if you follow the mandate that says all employees have to be vaccinated but then allow ALL of those who cite religious accommodation to opt out, you essentially have it both ways.

Won't help them at all in meeting the federal contractor mandate. All employees are covered regardless of pay or importance.
Since some employees are definitely not going to comply, he is either going to forcefully resign them or have to give Biden the middle finger and drop the federal contracts.
I will guarantee you no one expects Greg Abbot or any other governor to more nasty and vindictive than the Biden administration.

My RINO governor did the same thing. What he said during the lockdowns and what his actual EO read were two different things.
