I’m back again. Recovery is going very well, just trying to rebuild stamina and re-establish the old wake/sleep pattern. You sleep a lot from something like this. So starting this week, I’m putting more effort to return to consistent commentary. Thanks for your kind words and patience.

Globalism / Great Reset -

Fingers of the G/GR are visible in dark blue states. One aspect consists of proposals by NY state last month (withdrawn after exposure ) and Washington state this week show movement towards forcible isolation of unvaxxed into ‘camps’. This follows a similar pattern Australia and other counties are developing to coerce the unjabbed into compliance.

Rhetoric from national leaders around the world has become increasingly nasty towards the anti-vaxxed. France Macron stirred nation wide protests after he called the unvaxxed “non citizens”. Canada’s Trudeau said recently ““They don’t believe in science/progress and are very often misogynistic and racist. It’s a very small group of people, but that doesn’t shy away from the fact that they take up some space.”
“This leads us, as a leader and as a country, to make a choice: Do we tolerate these people? Over 80% of the population of Quebec have done their duty by getting the shot. They are obviously not the issue in this situation”

Vaccine skeptics and others angered by COVID curbs have protested in Brussels, Prague and other European cities over the weekend.

Wuhan virus -

Goalposts moving again. Fauci/CDC is in the process of redefining “fully vaccinated” to include the booster shot.

Some officials are reporting that Omicron has peaked many states. Similar reports from other nations around the world. However, Omicron has underperformed in creating more hospitalizations as well as only a minuscule numbers of deaths.
News hitting the wires include that many ‘cover’ hospitalizations are not due to the wuhan virus, but actually other causes, with a later detection of wuhan.

The impending passing of the Omicron peak hasn’t stopped some branch covidians from demanding more harsh measures against the unjabbed. As I’ve noted, this includes draconian increases in health insurance costs, But a lot of these bleats are based on the now falsified claims of the pandemic of the unvaccinated.
It is increasingly evident that the vaccines do not prevent infections and that current infection rates include significant numbers of ‘fully vaccinated’ individuals. Most recent examples are Whoopie and AOC.
New statistics from New York show that more than 40 percent of the state’s hospitalized coronavirus-infected patients were admitted for “non-COVID reasons” — with the ratio in New York City “about 50-50,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said Friday.

As 2022 progresses, the trend showing that the jab is creating more problems/deaths than it is preventing sill continue to comer out. One of the biggest reports I’ve seen on this is a 99-page study titled “Worldwide Bayesian Causal Impact Analysis of Vaccine Administration on Deaths and Cases Associated with COVID-19: A BigData Analysis of 145 Countries” found that in the US specifically, the jab has caused a whopping 38% more Covid cases per million – and an even more astonishing 31% increase in deaths per million.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/356248984_Worldwide_Bayesian_Causal_Impact_Analysis_of_Vaccine_Administration_on_Deaths_and_Cases_Associated_with_COVID-19_A_BigData_Analysis_of_145_Countries

Negative effects have been hard to ignore in the world of sports with fully vaxxed athletes collapsing on the playing fields with heart problems. Continued deadly effects will continue to increase and media will scramble to keep this under wraps.

Guidance issued by the Biden administration states certain individuals may be considered “high risk” and more quickly qualify for monoclonal antibodies and oral antivirals used to treat COVID-19 based on their “race or ethnicity.”

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shortened the recommended interval between the initial inoculation and boosting from six to five months. The CDC updated its recommended waiting period for those who completed their primary vaccination series with Pfizer’s shots while leaving the booster interval recommendation for people who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (two months) or the Moderna vaccine (six months) unchanged on Tuesday.
OBSERVATION - These changes reflect not only the ineffectiveness of the ‘vaccines’ but a desperation to try to control a miminal virus with over vaccination that is increasingly being demonstrated as not working.

Biden’s wuhan mandates didn’t get a very favorable hearing at the USSC with many seeing that they will be struck down.

Last week, jobs data reflected the economy still in deep doo-doo, being lass than half of what was expected. Biden has essentially defaulted to the Fed to control inflation.

Invasion of Illegals -

SMH - the flood of illegals continues. Detention rates for illegal immigrants have dropped by almost 10% from the previous month despite the historic surge across the border. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Alternative to Detention program has reported limited effectiveness with remote tracking technologies, such as ankle monitoring, with over 150,000 people in the program.

An Antifa member, Garrett James Smith, 22, was arrested and found carrying an active pipe bomb, Antifa propaganda and a written document on what to bring for his direct action. The arrest occurred near a right-wing rally outside the Pinellas County Courthouse in Florida on Jan. 6. He had recently returned from Portland, Ore.

Other BLM/Antifa activity continues at low levels.

Commentators are noting increasing talk by influencers on the left advocating a civil war to subjugate their opponents and protect “democracy”.

POLITICAL FRONT -

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi decries corporate greed, but that hasn’t stopped her from raking in as much as $30 million personally from insider stock trades on the very Big Tech companies she oversees in Congress.
No surprise then that she is also blocking bipartisan efforts to prevent members of Congress from engaging in individual stock picks.
OBSERVATION - This is insider trading at its worst. Her public arrogance will not carry well with rank and file americans on both sides of the divide.

The whole Jan 6 anniversary has gained little to no traction judging from MSM response. This in spite of the PR efforts of the MSM but were burnt by the hyperbolic claims of equivalence to Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Desperation at having HR1 and BBB stuck in the senate due to filibuster rules, Schumer is scheming to overturn it. Biden administration is focusing its domestic efforts on voting rights legislation. The stalled Senate voting rights bill is unable to pass without changing the filibuster rules. The unofficial deadline to pass voting reform is Martin Luther King Jr. Day as advocates claim inaction would make “a mockery of the holiday.” Sens. Manchin (D-WV) and Sinema (D-AZ) remain the Democratic holdouts, but Majority Leader Schumer indicated his willingness to use procedural rule changes and legislative negotiations to overcome their resistance.

China -

Evergrande has proceeded to destroy 39 buildings in response to its meltdown. On December 16, 2021 it was reported that Evergrande was now considered ‘SD’ (Selective Default) by Standand and Poor’ and normally would be liquidating its holdings. Some observers are convinced the company is following a ‘scorched earth’ policy by essentially saying ‘We are going to put it in your face that we are not going to pay you and you will watch the assets that we could use to pay you vaporize in a controlled demolition’.

Hitting headlines last week was China’s ‘hoarding’ of about 50% of the global grain supplies. I noted last summer that China was trying to buy as much grain as it could lay its hands on due in part to two disastrous harvest seasons. I noted that this has caused a global increase in food prices.

China has also been facilitating Iran’s breaking of sanctions by buying considerable amounts of oil.

North Korea -

Last week NK launched a ballistic missile into the sea of Japan. NK reportedly said it was a test of a hypersonic glide warhead. Other observers say it was a conventional warhead.
OBSERVATION - Even with this launch, aggressive posturing by NK has been very minimal. Could be associated with the apparent health change/extreme weight loss by Kim. Only recent belligerence is the NK claim that they created the burrito. . . . .

Word is coming out that dissension within the ranks of the NK military are increasing with desertions , insubordination and even threats against officers. Sources blamed the apparent rise in examples of insubordination — as well as a corresponding increase in incidents of superior officers brutally hazing enlisted personnel — on the stresses presented by a worsening North Korean economy due in part to COVID restrictions that have largely shut off trade with China.

Russia -

INCREASED WARNING ONGOING - OSINT and other analysts are noting the continued build up of military assets that go far beyond those necessary for a military ‘exercise’. Putin has seriously deployed for combat and can execute several options at any moment.

RUSSIA in the process of a major deployment to Kazakhstan, an allied nation like Belarus. Some reports of as much as a CAA enroute. Known deployed units include Russia’s 98th Guards Airborne Division and the 31st Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade are actively securing government and strategic facilities. As many as 70 military cargo aircraft have reportedly been dedicated to moving troops and equipment into the region. Kazakhstan contains the Russian space complex, the vast majority of natural gas/oil deposits and a lot of other key infrastructure for Russia.
Riots there started initially over the doubling of gas prices and expanded to overall anti government protests. A week after violence erupted, the authorities say the situation has now stabilized, with troops continuing “clean-up” operations and guarding strategic facilities. A state of emergency and a nationwide curfew remain in place. Almost 8,000 people have been detained throughout the country, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

OBSERVATION - Russia forces are hurrying to secure secure facilities with some airborne forces reinforcing local units. Security forces have been given clearance to “fire without warning”.
FURTHER - The diversion of military resources may have disrupted any potential invasion timelines for Ukraine.

Russia is also being accused of fomenting potential ivil war in the former Yugoslavia by their support of ethnic Serbs in the multiple breakaway countries. More specially in Bosnia, where in 1995 it was divided into two separate territories of the Muslim-Croat Federation (MCF) and the Republika Srpska (RS). Russia has been suppling the RS with a lot of new military equipment.
OBSERVATION - Instability in this region furthers Russia’s goal of a buffer zone by pulling serbs into their sphere of influence even deeper and consternate NATO operations. Russia has always sided with the Serbs and this is just another place where Putin will try to set Russia up to be the sole regional mediator and security guarantor, thus weakening NATO and the West by proving that they are unreliable.

Ukraine -

Russia rules out any concession with US at talks on Ukraine, security in Europe, adding it is “disappointed” with US signals so far
“We will not agree to any concession. That is completely excluded,” Russia deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov says.
NATO rules out Russian demands that the alliance not admit new members.

The United States is not planning to pull U.S. troops out of Eastern Europe, nor has it ruled out Ukraine’s future membership in NATO, as Russia has demanded, Secretary of State Antony Blinken told CNN’s “State of the Union” with Jake Tapper on Sunday.

Ukraine has continued the call up and training of reserves in preparation for a Russian invasion.

NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says it’s “not realistic” to expect Russia-US/NATO talks this week to resolve Ukraine/Europe security crisis. But he hopes there’s the will to “engage in a process” to prevent conflict. Aim is to agree on a “way forward. a series of meetings”

OVERALL OBSERVATION - Putin may be offering some kind of ‘out’ with the continued negotiations with NATO. However, neither side is stepping back. With winter soon to come to an end (and frozen ground assisting movement of armored vehicles) Putin is running out of time and now with Kazakhstan diverting assets and attention on at least the short term, his window is getting smaller.

Iran -

Officials have increased the rhetoric against the US on the anniversary of the strike that took out IRGC commander Soleimani. Iranian supported militias have launched many attacks against US bases in Syria and Iraq over the past week. Threats include terror attacks in the US as well qs against President Trump.
Iran on Saturday announced the sanctions against 52 Americans for their role in the death of Iranian commander Soleimani
A few days before Soleimani anniversary, the US reportedly has sent a message to Tehran via an Iraqi delegation warning that if attacks on US bases in Iraq & Syria cause damages or harm to troops, “the consequences won’t be confined to Iran-backed groups”

Nuclear control talks are going nowhere in Geneva, as Iran holds to its preconditions and demands.

Iraq -

Muqtada al-Sadr rebased a statement that the election of Parliament Speaker and deputy speakers is the first signs of a “national majority government.” Govt is forming on a more anti Iranian foundation.
OBSERVATION - Al Sadr , the boil on the butt of US forces has been on the outs with Iran for a considerable time and his backing of the recent elections and results put the Iranian backed militias on notice to get out of Iraqi politics.

Globalism / Great Reset -

Italy has targeted the unvaccinated with a host of new coronavirus restrictions Monday, with proof of vaccination or recovery from a recent infection required to enter public transport, cafes, hotels, gyms and other popular venues.. The new “super” health pass requirement, which eliminates the ability to show just a negative test to gain access to services. The new restriction were enforced Monday by police fanning out at train stations to check passengers’ vaccine status and make sure they were wearing the more protective Ffp2 face masks, which were now required on public transport.

Teachers unions continue to try force school shutdowns in major cities, most recently Chicago and now the Bay Area. This action continues to be designed to stress families and maintain societal chaos.

LA Times continues the effort to dehumanize and mock the unvaxxed and those who recently have died form it. “On the other, those who have deliberately flouted sober medical advice by refusing a vaccine known to reduce the risk of serious disease from the virus, including the risk to others, and end up in the hospital or the grave can be viewed as receiving their just deserts.”
OBSERVATION - Rush towards holocaust treatment continues.

Dark Blue Oregon pushing more restrictive measures. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) proposed four new initiatives for consideration and the comment period is open now.
• Permanent statewide mask mandate with a $500 fine, per person, per daily occurrence
• Forced vaccination of healthcare workers
• Forced vaccination of teachers
• Roll out of a digital vaccine health-pass on March 8
Three of the initiatives started as temporary rules, which only last 180 days. According to Jonathan Modie, Lead Communications Officer of OHA’s Oregon Public Health Division, “OHA has rulemaking authority and under Oregon law, OHA is charged with investigating and controlling communicable diseases and directing matters concerning the preservation of life and health of people ... across the state.” OHA is proposing they make these initiatives permanent and expand on them.

CDC (Walenski) being forced to admit that the ‘vaccines’ don’t work to prevent / control wuhan.

The World Health Organization’s COVID-19 team said on Monday that while the “end” of the pandemic is “in sight,” things will “be difficult for the next three months at least.”
“I’m afraid we are moving through the marathon, but there’s no actual way to say that we’re at the end — we can see the end in sight, but we’re not there. And there’s going to be some bumps before we get there,” The WHO’s COVID-19 Special Envoy David Nabarro told Sky News in an interview.

“Governor Newsom and our state’s public health leaders are putting the needs of health care corporations before the safety of patients and workers,” the California Nurses Association (CAN) says in a statement condemning the state’s decision to allow COVID-infected nurses to return to work in hospitals.
Asymptomatic health care workers who test positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed to the virus and are asymptomatic can return to work immediately without isolation or testing, under the new policy.
“The move is a reaction to the severe hospital staffing shortages and crushing caseloads that the omicron variant is causing,”
OBSERVATION - Deep blue Kalifornia continues the insanity of infection spread to those at risk - hospitalized citizens. Stay out of the Kalifornia hospitals.

700 unvaccinated Mayo Clinic employees lost their jobs because they did not agree to take the COVID-19 vaccine or did not receive a medical or religious exemption. In addition, an unknown number of Mayo employees have already quit or retired to avoid being fired. The move comes as hospitals throughout the country struggle with a surge in hospital admissions combined with severe staff shortages.

Economy -

Fed reserve chair Powell is facing congress for his confirmation hearings. Much of the watch is on his take on inflation and early talk is he’s going to say the spending party is over.
Goldman Sachs is expecting 4 fed rate increases, not the three the Fed has already announced last month. This indicates that inflation fears has gotten stronger, but also increases the chance that the raises will over correct and drive the economy into a deep regression/depression.

Bare grocery store shelves are muscling back into the news forefront, being loudly noted by such leftists as Politico and Slate. Biden is denying that the conditions are real, that the supply chain has been fixed. Actually, this is just the next step of the breakdown of the delivery system. Now stores are struggling to get their shelves filled - an increase in demand that cannot be met for even sustained supply. Food industry experts are warning us that supplies are going to get even tighter in the weeks to come.

The Biden administration is taking seriously a string of recent threats and sanctions from Iran against Trump administration officials around the two-year anniversary of the Jan. 3, 2020 strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Iran’s actions may indicate Iran is plotting to assassinate the officials.
OBSERVATION - Iran has the capability to launch terror attacks and assassinations here in the US and with the weakness of the biden administration may be encouraged to try to execute some operations.

China -

China has been shutting down cities with due to an increase of wuhan infections. Most recent but down involves the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin, near Beijing, said on Sunday that its entire population of 14 million would be tested for the coronavirus after it was found in 20 residents, at least two of whom were infected with the fast-moving Omicron variant.
OBSERVATION - China is hyper concerned about wuhan interrupting the impending Olympics.

China is currently negotiating with the West African nation of Equatorial Guinea to build, maintain and use a naval base for Chinese warships operating in West Africa and the Atlantic. The Chinese offer includes large loans and large bribes for local officials. Similar deals are being made with Myanmar (Burma). China already has bases in northeastern Africa (Djibouti) and Pakistan.
The Equatorial Guinea deal is particularly attractive because the base would be an expanded version of an existing base for the tiny local navy. Piers would be extended to handle any Chinese warship. This base is adjacent to an oil refinery, so refueling is not a problem. The Burma situation is more complex because Chinese investments are keeping an unpopular military government in power. China has been selling that government weapons at discount prices, including a used submarine.
All of these bases are made possible by Chinese financing in the form of investments and large loans. What this means is that China is increasingly using its large foreign investments as weapons. A typical situation involves loaning poor countries large amounts of money for huge development projects, like ports, roads and railroads. The loans are on terms that look attractive but eventually must be repaid by governments that find themselves unable to do so. When the debtor nation runs into trouble making payments, China offers to reduce the load in return for control, if not majority ownership, of the ports, railroad, airport or whatever. With control of these facilities China can probably run them more efficiently, and profitably. But control means it is easier for China to use the facility for military or espionage purposes.
This use of loans is called DTD (Debt Trap Diplomacy) and has been a favorite Chinese tactic for ever since they became a major trading nation in the last few decades and one of the wealthiest nations in the world. Nations currently vulnerable, because of large Chinese debts, include those in need of expensive port upgrades, like Sri Lanka, Djibouti, the Maldives, Pakistan, Venezuela and Equatorial Guinea. Most nations are aware of the DTD trap but where there is a lot of corruption China can create a DTD situation anyway. Some of these DTD efforts go bad and cost China a lot of money, but on average DTD is a net gain for China as it acquires military, economic and diplomatic advantages without having to fight..

NK launched another missile today, observers noting it traveled more than 700 km at top altitude of 60 km at Mach 10. According to airline sources, the missile test prompted a brief groundstop for the US West Coast today, Observers also note that the performance of the missile was better than the one launched last week.
South Korea’s military has called North Korea’s missile launch a “clear” violation of UN Security Council resolutions,

OBSERVATION - Normal ballistic missiles are already “hypersonic”. What is being sought are warheads that can maneuver either powered or unpowered to their targets, making interception near impossible.

INCREASED WARNING ONGOING - OSINT and other analysts are noting the continued build up of military assets that go far beyond those necessary for a military ‘exercise’. Putin has seriously deployed for combat and can execute several options at any moment.

US officials say Russia now has just under 60 or so battalion tactical groups near Ukraine, and is moving in units specialized in logistics, as well as position attack aircraft near Ukraine. However there has been no surge in troops to the border so far. More logistics units are being deployed to the border region. According to U.S. officials to NYT, Russia has positioned additional ground-attack aircraft & attack/transport helicopters near the Ukrainian border. Russian forces near the border are being kept at their highest level of readiness.
Russian Western Military district launched field trainings in Bryansk, Smolensk, Belgorod and Voronezh regions with 3000 servicemen, 300 vehicles including T-72B3 tanks and BMP-2
OBSERVATION - Forces cannot remain at “highest level of readiness” for prolonged periods before combat effectiveness degrades.

These sightings have sparked new fears over the impact the insects might have on the country’s agriculture and economy, along with potentially threatening food supply.
OBSERVATION - this could represent the start of a third year of destructive locust infestations that have hammered Africa and Asia over the past two years. Food supplies in these regions are already stressed and could increase global food prices as they try to compete with China for limited supplies.

Globalism / Great Reset -

Nearly 4 million fully vaccinated Australians are about to be declared unvaccinated as the government reduces the validity of the country’s green passports to just six months. Last week, the government, which is under the rule of unelected Chancellor Karl Nehammer, announced new plans that will force people into receiving additional vaccines in order to hold onto their green passes. This is despite the fact that the vaccines and boosters have not been protecting people from the virus.

Starting next month, Austria will become the first country in Europe to require all citizens to be fully vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated, including children as young as 14 years old, may be fined as much as 2,000 euros every time they are caught outside in public without proof of vaccination. Those who refuse to pay their fine will be placed in a special prison for people who are non-vaccinated for up to one year.
Austrian police are to considerably ramp up checks regarding COVID restrictions. The crackdown will even go as far as deploying plainclothes police to the streets to catch out those who might attempt to go about their daily business while avoiding officers, top Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports. Police have done 1.6 million checks since the start of the nation’s “Corona Apartheid‘ lockdown of unvaccinated individuals, Austria’s Interior Minister Gerhard Karner has said they will be ramped up even further. “It’s about taking action against those who do not adhere to the rules. And taking action with fairness towards those who support the measures,” Die Presse reports Karner as also saying.
OBSERVATION - Austria is one of many countries facing increased protests by vaxxed and unvaxxed alike over these mandates and the latest movement of the goal posts will only add fuel to that fire. It is also a test case of the GGR to force compliance on the population.

Harbinger to the US - Quebec’s premier announced that it would be the first in the nation to financially penalize the unvaccinated. According to federal data, just over 85% of Quebec residents had received at least one vaccine dose by 1 January.
Premier Francois Legault said during a news conference that people who have not received their first dose of vaccine will have to pay a “contribution”.
The fee has not yet been decided, but will be “significant”, he said.
“I think right now it’s a question of fairness for the 90% of the population who made some sacrifices,” Mr Legault said. “I think we owe them this kind of measure.” Last week, the province announced that it would require proof of vaccination to shop in government cannabis and liquor stores.
OBSERVATION - This is a loophole the covid cultist corner of the GGR will increasingly use against resisters.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reportedly considering altering it’s masking guidance to recommend individuals wear “highly protective N95 or KN95 masks,” the Washington Post reported on Monday.
Citing an official “close to the deliberations who was not authorized to speak publicly,” the Post reported that the federal health agency is considering the recommendation change in the wake of the highly contagious omicron variant, despite the fact that it appears to be a more mild form of the illness.

Omicron is continuing to vex the covid cult. Guidance form the CDC over this very mild variant has been very disjointed and democrats are fearing that it is causing the narrative to fall apart. In front of a congressional committee, the CDC chief waffled about new quarantine and other guidance. Democrats also fear this will further degrade public confidence in the agency and the administration’s handling of the disease.

Economy -

BREAKING - December inflation numbers are out and tell us what we know already. Inflation jumped in December at its fastest year-over-year pace in nearly four decades, surging 7% and raising costs for consumers, offsetting recent wage gains. Excluding food and energy, CPI rose by 5.5% YoY. A Fed response, with 7% inflation, gauged by economists using the Taylor Rule model suggests a Fed Funds Target rate of … 17.84%. Bear in mind that the current target rate is 0.25%.
OBSERVATION - Threat of a severe recession / depression has hit a new high note. The Fed cannot risk raising rates to 17% range, for if they do the economy will crash like the Hindenburg.

Worth a revisit since it was a major concern before it was over whelmed by other news and that was the concerns over mass evictions once the eviction moratoria was lifted. It is now about five months after the federal ban was lifted and nothing like what was warned about has occurred. Multiple reasons probably combined to limit this.
- One explanation, particularly in liberal circles, claims that the eviction tsunami never reached shore because the steps the government took to prevent it actually worked. The moratorium kept people in their homes while they worked on ways to avoid being removed. Federal payment programs provided through the relief bills helped people mostly keep up with their rent, including rental assistance, stimulus payments, and enhanced unemployment benefits that allowed people to stay in their apartments.
- Another is that state and local moratoriums stepped in and prohibited evictions. This delayed actions and permitted other relief measures to act.
- Another theory put forth suggests that the eviction tsunami actually did arrive and it’s been going on for a while now, except we can’t see it. They point to landlords who stopped performing maintenance for delinquent renters, rendering their homes unlivable. Others would change the locks on apartments without notice, forcing the tenants to go elsewhere. I’m sure some of that was indeed taking place, but if it was really happening in large numbers, wouldn’t we be seeing a sharp increase in homelessness by now? The available data doesn’t seem to support it.
- Still others think there are societal explanations. Perhaps the smaller, mom-and-pop landlords (who account for roughly half of all US rental units) were more understanding of people who fell behind and were more willing to give them time and work with them. Perhaps some of them genuinely liked their tenants and didn’t want to have to start a search for someone new who might not be as nice.
Most likely a combination of the above. However, hindsight suggests that the issue may have been over hyped by both sides.

Invasion of Illegals -

More than 800,000 noncitizens and “Dreamers” in New York City will have access to the ballot box — and could vote in municipal elections as early as next year — after Mayor Eric Adams allowed legislation to automatically become law Sunday. Unless a judge halts its implementation, New York City is the first major U.S. city to grant widespread municipal voting rights to noncitizens.
More than a dozen communities across the U.S. already allow noncitizens to cast ballots in local elections, including 11 towns in Maryland and two in Vermont.
OBSERVATION - Deliberate dilution of citizen votes by an easily guided noncitizen component is a work around by the left to current refusals to grant citizenship too illegals. The clear danger is that they will cross over to national elections.

DHS cannot account for 50K illegals released into the US last year.

Biden watch -

Pounding his fist for emphasis, President Joe Biden challenged senators on Tuesday to “stand against voter suppression,” urging them to change Senate rules in order to pass voting rights legislation that Republicans are blocking from debate and votes. “I’m tired of being quiet!” he shouted. “I will not yield. I will not flinch.”
OBSERVATION - The assault on the filibuster rules will only intensify as the midterms approach.

CW2/Domestic violence -

The Justice Department is establishing a specialized unit focused on domestic terrorism, the department’s top national security official told lawmakers Tuesday as he described an “elevated” threat from violent extremists in the United States.
Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen, testifying just days after the nation observed the one-year anniversary of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, said the number of FBI investigations into suspected domestic violent extremists has more than doubled since the spring of 2020.
“We have seen a growing threat from those who are motivated by racial animus, as well as those who ascribe to extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies,” Olsen said.
OBSERVATION - We all know that the ‘terrorists’ are red blooded Americans. Ever since 0bama, deep staters have been looking for ways to target us. One more step where the govt has made nearly half the country enemies of the state.

Sen Cruz asked if any FBI agents or confidential informants committed acts of violence on that day, or actively encouraged or incited crimes of violence, questions with ill Sanborn, executive assistant director of the National Security Branch of the FBI, declined to answer.
OBSERVATION - Silence is loud and FBI involvement in patriot related movements from Malhure to the more recent conspiracy to kidnap the Michigan Governor is becoming more apparent that the agency is becoming an entrapment organization and fielding agent provocateurs. See DOJ domestic terror above.

Strategic Activity / Deployments -

Special Forces candidates will participate in the two-week Robin Sage training exercises in which they will practice overthrowing illegitimate governments. Robin Sage places soldiers in a ‘politically unstable’ fictional country and uses ‘unconventional guerrilla warfare’ to defeat a ‘numerically superior enemy’
OBSERVATION - many pundits are raising red flags over this exercise in light of current political climate in the US, that the exercise encourages soldiers to target civilians . This is a recurring exercise as noted for SF candidates.

Kim Jong Un attended Tuesday’s “hypersonic missile” launch, North Korean state media report. It is the first time Kim has been shown attending a missile launch in nearly two years. After watching the test, Kim urged military scientists to “further accelerate the efforts to steadily build up the country’s strategic military muscle both in quality and quantity and further modernize the army,” KCNA news agency reported.

Russia -

INCREASED WARNING ONGOING - OSINT and other analysts are noting the continued build up of military assets that go far beyond those necessary for a military ‘exercise’. Putin has seriously deployed for combat and can execute several options at any moment.

Observers are noting departures from the bases of all four armies of Russia’s Eastern Military District. Some trains are already seen further west than the EMD, suggesting unusual redeployment. Videos show elements of the 5th, 29th, 35th, and 36th Combined Arms Armies heading west on trains, but their ultimate destination is so far unknown. Forward staging of these units with no announced military exercises points to Russia’s quiet wartime preparations.

OBSERVATION - Initially some thought this was in response to the situation Kazakhstan. I’m thinking this may be a fill in for the units currently deployed to Ukraine border as a strategic reserve. If this is the case, this suggests that Russia may be leaning towards the whole Ukraine capture scenario and expecting significant NATO response.

The Kremlin said on Tuesday it saw no reason to be optimistic after Monday’s talks on Ukraine and wider European security with the United States in Geneva.
Speaking to reporters on a conference call, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said it was too early to draw conclusions from the talks, which he said had been substantive, direct and open.

Ukraine -

France is hosting a meeting between officials from Russia, Ukraine, and Germany to discuss the ongoing unrest and fighting in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced last night that his government was “ready to make decisions” aimed at “ending the war” in the eastern part of his country and potentially calming down Vladimir Putin to the point where he might start withdrawing some troops from the border. To be clear, this meeting is not focused on the Russian troop buildup on the Ukrainian border and a potential war that might ensue if Putin invades. They’re talking about the actual war that’s already taking place between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.
OBSERVATION - The Dombass fighting is definitely a lit match in the whole Russian / NATO standoff. Any ‘agreement’ to deescalate the combat there may provide a relief valve to the current Russian threats against NATO. Though is isn’t clear what the Ukraine is offering or may offer, if it cedes the Domabass region control to Russia, they may be satisfied that it provides enough ‘buffer’ against NATO.

Taliban spokesmen are threatening to demand that they can essentially station suicide bombers to Washington, D.C if the US stations military forces at a re-opened embassy in Afghanistan. According to a December report, during ongoing talks in Doha, Qatar — where the Taliban government seeks international recognition — Maulvi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, Afghanistan’s acting defense minister, said that if America wanted troops in Afghanistan to reopen its embassy there, the Taliban wanted an equivalent number of terrorists in our capital.
“If America wants 2,000 English [i.e., American] troops at its embassy in Afghanistan, we also want 2,000 Fidayeen Mujahideen [i.e., suicide bombers] from the Fateh Force at the embassy of Afghanistan in America,” a Dec. 11 tweet from Yaqoob read. MEMRI noted that “Fidayeen is another term used by jihadi groups for their suicide bombers.

Friday update on Saturday. Life happened, trying to catch up.
Things are reaching a very crazy level all across the board.

Color Key
BLACK - An area worth noting, but not immediately impacting on US safety
BLUE - Incidents increasing and needing further monitoring, low threat to the US
YELLOW - This is the moderate concern level. Definitely becoming a threat but in the longer term.
ORANGE - A definite threat in both short term and long term. Some active events occurring
RED - Active and ongoing. Examples of this would be 2020 rioting, etc.

_____________________________

Globalism / Great Reset - YELLOW trending upward *unchanged*
DISCUSSION - Global powers that be (GPTB) backing off from hyping Omicron given its underwhelming threat. Countries and the US are moving forward for harsher treatment of the Unvaxxed anyway.

Examples of this harsher treatment -
- The Make-A-Wish Foundation refused to grant 4-year-old cancer patient Rocco DiMaggio a wish to go to Disneyworld because he is not vaccinated.
- Ronald McDonald house kicks out a cancer victim and family due to not being jabbed.
- Organ transplant recipients being denied transplants until jabbed
- Others being denied treatment because unjabbed.
- Laws coming out to charge an insurance surcharge on those without the jab.
OBSERVATION - These are methods to subjugate the population and so far these elements are getting away with it. Expect the GGR powers that be to further persecution of the unjabbed as this year progresses.

Biden administration has tasked an obscure agency - Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia, an independent federal agency designed to aid Washington D.C. courts, to create the “Employee Religious Exception Request Information System” to track unvaccinated employees who ask for religious exemptions from President Joe Biden’s federal COVID-19 shot mandate. “The primary purpose of the secured electronic file repository is to collect, maintain, use, and—to the extent appropriate and necessary—disseminate employee religious exception request information collected by the Agency in the context of the federally mandated COVID-19 vaccination requirement,” according to the Federal Register.
OBSERVATION - I was initially skeptical about this until I drilled down deeper. This agency is legit and they are a catch-all for all kinds of miscellaneous stuff. Of course, there is no real reason for a database of this kind - except for later retribution purposes. Some consider it as a test bed for deploying the database across the entire US government - noting that the announcement was relegated to an obscure group and given just 30 days for public comment.

US Marines have granted the first two religious exemptions to wuhan out of the thousands of applications.

USSC overturns biden’s OSHA vaccine mandates (old news). Biden continues to demand private companies comply anyway - meeting mixed results.

Wuhan virus - YELLOW *last updated 12-10-21*
DISCUSSION - OMICRON is a big nothing burger. Globally there have been few fatalities attributed to it

OBSERVATIONS - The past couple days the news has been awash in amorphic wuhan news. Pushing high infections and hospitalization rates, down playing that there is a disjunction between CAUSED by wuhan and WITH wuhan (ie hospitalized for something else and diagnosed with wuhan as well.
OVERALL - Wuhan reporting has been a dumpster fire.

Biden administration continues to issue mixed messages and guidances. Most recent on changes by the CDC to quarenteen duration requirements.

CDC now recommends N95 masks to fight Omicron.

Some European medical groups are beginning to question the number of boosters being recommended. They are recognizing that the jabs are not working as promised and injections of more of the same are becoming harmful.

VAERS data base has over 1.2 million serious reactions listed to the jabs, including over 16K associated deaths.

CDC director, Rochelle Walensky, said that the “vaccines” “do not prevent transmission.” Revelation occurred on CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, where she said, “What [vaccines] can’t do anymore is prevent transmission.”
Walensky also said on Fox News Sunday. “In some hospitals that we’ve talked to, up to 40% of the patients who are coming in with COVID-19 are coming in not because they’re sick with COVID, but because they’re coming in with something else and have had to, COVID or the Omicron variant detected.”
OBSERVATION - The “narrative” is so contorted, they are losing the ability to keep their story straight .

Scottish Health data indicates that vaccinated population have accounted for 8 in every 10 cases, 7 in every 10 hospitalizations, and 8 in every 10 Covid-19 deaths since the 20th November 2021 despite the booster jab campaign.

Economy - ORANGE trending upward *unchanged*
DISCUSSION - Maintaining color code pending first Fed rate increase. Increasing threat of deep recession / depression as the Fed tries to control inflation.

Prices at the wholesale level surged by a record 9.7% in December from a year earlier, with inflation evident at all levels of the U.S. economy.
OBSERVATION - These increases will show themselves in future months as increased product price inflation.

The number of actual Americans filing for jobless benefits for the first time spiked to 419k in the first week of 2022. That is the highest since May 2021.

Retail sales dropped 1.9% last month after rising 0.2% in November, the Commerce Department said on Friday. This covers the Christmas shopping season. Commerce Dept tried to blame it on supply chain shortages due to wuhan. Sales could weaken further in January 2022 due to continuing issues from wuhan.
Speaking of supply chain issues - China’s recent rounds of lockdowns have shut down shipping from key ports. So not only are material not going out timely, but Chinese imports are now diverting to Shanghai, causing the types of knock-on delays seen at US West Coast ports.

Invasion of Illegals - ORANGE trending upward *unchanged*
DISCUSSION - Illegals continue to push across the border with record numbers of intercepts

Federal Judge ruled against Texan law arresting illegals for ‘trespass’ in an effort to stop their enforcement of laws and protection of its citizens.
______________________________

Biden watch - ORANGE trending upward *unchanged*
DISCUSSION - Mental facilities continue to degrade

The more biden is trotted out in front of cameras, the more his mental decline is reflected in his often confusing and contradictory comments become.

Approval polls show a continued nosedive in popularity. Thirty-three percent approve of Biden’s presidency, down 3 points from the last poll conducted in November, while 53% do not approve, a Quinnipiac University poll found. Another 13% did not say either way.

CW2/Domestic violence - YELLOW trending upward *unchanged*
DISCUSSION - Jan 6 propaganda continues to come from the democrats. DOJ creates new domestic terror unit targeting Americans. BLM/Antifa quiet.

Seditious conspiracy charges have been leveled against a number of individuals associated with Oath Keepers, including the group’s leader for actions surrounding Jan 6 riot. Alledgedly FBI got their hands on an encrypted Signal chat between members.
Sedition charges are difficult to prove. The last seditious conspiracy case was filed in 2010 against members of a Michigan militia. But a judge ordered acquittals on the sedition conspiracy charges, saying prosecutors didn’t prove the Hutaree militia members ever had detailed plans for a rebellion.
OBSERVATION - I’ve not reported much on the Jan 6 motions other than they are a manifestation of the leftists in govt trying to take advantage of those events to make rightist groups illegal or illegitimate. My biggest concern is the access to Signal comms. IIRC a mole that was in the chat group was the source of the texts. If the feds were able to ‘crack’ the encryption then the most secure text system is compromised.

Poorly categorized here, a construction team appears to have begun building a wall on the White House’s north lawn between the structure and a pre-existing iron fence.
OBSERVATION - Very little has been released on the purpose of the fence but I suspect that its placement was due to riots that penetrated the fence and has the SS force Trump into the bunker.
_________________________________

POLITICAL FRONT - YELLOW *updated 12-10-21*
DISCUSSION - Democrat infighting increasing. Moderate democrats now appear to have torpedoed biden’s BBB and election “reform” HR1.

Schumer’s high pressure tactics to try to remove the filibuster is hitting the rocks.
OBSERVATION - Expect increasing pressure on Senators Sinema and Manchin. Also expect Schumer/Pelosi to try other means to weasel around the filibuster.

Strategic Activity / Deployments - YELLOW (UPDATED 01/14/2022)

USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) Wasp-class amphibious assault ship and USS Arlington (LPD 24) San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock were observed leaving Norfolk, Virginia - January 14
OBSERVATION - The Kearsarge Amphib Assault group are absent from the current Naval deployment update/status. Not listed in port or out to sea. USN hasn’t announced any deployments - yet. I suspect it is enroute to Europe, possibly to join the Truman CSG.

RUMORS - USS New Mexico, carrying Tomahawk cruise missiles that has been reported in the sea off northern Norway and is believed to be on its way to Russia’s territorial waters.

Cyber Warfare - YELLOW

Given the Ukraine cyber attack, a similar attack against the US by Russian agents as a precursor to any invasion would be expected.

China - ORANGE trending neutral to upward

Economic woes continue with lower than projected GDP reflecting self inflicted wuhan lockdowns and global supply/transportation issues.

North Korea - BLUE

North Korea fired about 5 missiles into the Sea of Japan over the past few days. This is an interesting departure from Kim’s earlier statement of focusing on internal economic and food issues. NKs Friday missile test was of its train-mounted ballistic missiles. It was conducted by the Railway-borne Missile Regiment of North Phyongan Province. NK warns of more if US continues to sanction the country.
US response to North Korea’s latest launch of ballistic missiles Friday called launches “destabilizing” although “this event does not pose an immediate threat to U.S. personnel or territory, or to our allies”

Russia - ORANGE and increasing *last updated 121021*
DISCUSSION - INCREASED WARNING ONGOING - OSINT and other analysts are noting the continued build up of military assets that go far beyond those necessary for a military ‘exercise’. Putin has seriously deployed for combat and can execute several options at any moment.

WEATHER - Next two weeks temperatures are with highs in the low 30’s and low in the 20’s, conditions that keep the ground frozen for armored vehicle movement. Snow is forecast over many days of the period and cloud cover approaching 100% on many days.

Current intelligence indicators of impending attack include:

- Increased reports of Russia trying to produce a narrative and even generated false flag events to justify invasion.
- Large cyber attack on Ukraine hit around 70 internet sites of government bodies including the foreign ministry, cabinet of ministers, and security and defense council.
- Military units I reported in my last assessment coming from the Eastern Military District have been noted by observers passing through the Western Military district along routes leading to the Ukraine border region. Three CAAs are currently staged and these reinforcements are coming from elements of four other CAAs (5th, 29th, 35th, and 36th ). Additionally, Pacific Fleet’s 155th Naval Infantry Brigade elements have been reported on trains heading west as well.
- Mysterious underwater cable severing to a key comms site.
- RUMINT from “Pravda” that a Russian boomer surfaced off the east coast of the US undetected.
- Separatist militaries in Luhansk and Donetsk are conducting their own corps-level military mobilization exercises and recalling reservists.
- Intelligence agencies monitoring Russian cyber operations against Ukraine believe Russia’s pattern of activity could signal a ground invasion of Ukraine within the next 30 days, the White House said Friday. “The Russian military plans to begin these activities several weeks before a military invasion, which could begin between mid-January and mid-February,”
- Movements of numerous helicopter and fixed wing assets closer to the border.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says Moscow has “run out of patience” with the West and expects a written response to its demands for security guarantees within a week after diplomatic talks with NATO and the United States failed to make headway on the issue amid a buildup of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.

Further, Russia is threatening military deployment to Cuba and Venezuela. Other communist states like Nicaragua could be a target of other deployments.
OBSERVATION - Unless airlifted, any sea lift operations I’d expect would occur before Ukraine conflict, or at a later time to pressure the US from another direction.
____________________________________

Ukraine - ORANGE trending upward *updated 121021*
Increased potential of an attack by Russia.

Major cyber attack over the past few days. Large cyber attack on Ukraine hit around 70 internet sites of government bodies including the foreign ministry, cabinet of ministers, and security and defense council.

Biden has openly indicated material support for a Ukraine resistance force if Russia overruns the country.

Poland - YELLOW trending upward *updated 121021*

Poland’s foreign minister said on Thursday that Europe was at risk of plunging into war as Russia said it was not yet giving up on diplomacy but that military experts were preparing options in case tensions over Ukraine could not be defused.
________________________________________

Europe General - YELLOW TRENDING UPWARD *updated 121021*
DISCUSSION - Increasing potential that NATO will become involved in an Ukraine invasion as Poland, Romania and the Baltic Nations respond.

Sweden (a non-NATO country) is reinforcing its position on Gotland Island with new troops ferried over tonight. C17 and US C5 MAC aircraft have also been observed landing at the island’s airfield. Gotland Island is a strategic location in the Baltic Sea that can control Russian naval movements thru the sea to the Atlantic. Official reasons are that Sweden has raised the readiness of military forces on Gotland due to rising tensions between Russia & NATO and the continued buildup of Russian forces on Ukraines border.
OBSERVATION - There is RUMINT out there that this is in response to three combat loaded Russian amphibious assault ships headed towards the island. There were also reports of Russian military vehicles moving about Kalingrade - possibly a contributing source of related concern. Gotland is usually not heavily defended - at least post cold war. Something triggered an alert and needs to be monitored.

Lithuania has increased their military readiness due to tensions with Russia according to officials

European gas storage has now dropped **below the 50% level**, the earliest the half-empty mark has ever been reached, beating the previous record by 7 days (and usually, it doesn’t happen until early-to-mid Feb)
The U.S. government held talks with several international energy companies on contingency plans for supplying natural gas to Europe if conflict between Russia and Ukraine disrupts Russian supplies
____________________________________

Israel - ORANGE trending neutral to upward *unchanged*
DISCUSSION - Ongoing threat from Hezbollah and Iran continues.

____________________________________

Iraq - YELLOW *updated 01/14/22*

Iranian backed militias have continued rocketing US bases and the Green Zone. At the same time, hit and run attacks have been made on opposing Iraqi militias. So far, no significant US military response.
OBSERVATION - Iran sees an opening as biden’s policies continue to crumble and displays military weaknesses. However, attacks against Iraqi elements increases the risk of civil conflict between the two factions.

Saudi Arabia - BLUE

Saudi’s reportedly developing long range ballistic missiles with China’s help to counter Iranian threats in the region.

Globalism / Great Reset -

One of the largest hospital systems in the country - SSM Health, a nominally Catholic health system that operates 23 hospitals across Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin - is dropping its policy that counted race as a more important factor in determining COVID-19 treatment options than diabetes, obesity, asthma, and hypertension combined. All hospital patients are “scored” as a means of triage in order to give those most in need priority treatment. SSM Health ignored the severity of a patient’s conditions in order to make race a weightier determining factor.
OBSERVATION - Injection of race into health care - dividing the people into an Us vs them scenario to weaken both. Stock up on what you can find NOW. Any serious crisis will cause ALL the shelves to be emptied in hours.

According to a Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday (Townhall) -
– Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters would oppose a proposal for federal or state governments to fine Americans who choose not to get a COVID-19 vaccine. However, 55% of Democratic voters would support such a proposal, compared to just 19% of Republicans and 25% of unaffiliated voters.
– Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Democratic voters would favor a government policy requiring that citizens remain confined to their homes at all times, except for emergencies, if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Such a proposal is opposed by 61% of all likely voters, including 79% of Republicans and 71% of unaffiliated voters.
– Nearly half (48%) of Democratic voters think federal and state governments should be able to fine or imprison individuals who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications. Only 27% of all voters – including just 14% of Republicans and 18% of unaffiliated voters – favor criminal punishment of vaccine critics.
– Forty-five percent (45%) of Democrats would favor governments requiring citizens to temporarily live in designated facilities or locations if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Such a policy would be opposed by a strong majority (71%) of all voters, with 78% of Republicans and 64% of unaffiliated voters saying they would Strongly Oppose putting the unvaccinated in “designated facilities.”
– While about two-thirds (66%) of likely voters would be against governments using digital devices to track unvaccinated people to ensure that they are quarantined or socially distancing from others, 47% of Democrats favor a government tracking program for those who won’t get the COVID-19 vaccine.
How far are Democrats willing to go in punishing the unvaccinated? Twenty-nine percent (29%) of Democratic voters would support temporarily removing parents’ custody of their children if parents refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine. That’s much more than twice the level of support in the rest of the electorate – seven percent (7%) of Republicans and 11% of unaffiliated voters – for such a policy.

Economy -

The dollar, which has dropped for three straight sessions, has been giving up gains seen after the Federal Reserve has signaled strong interest rate hikes in the coming months. The dollar has dropped to the lowest level against the Euro since November. The dollar looks to be faltering in what could be an early sign that investors are losing faith in the U.S. economy, and that in and of itself could make our inflation situation worse. The most direct correlation in that would be the price of commodities. On the global market, almost all major commodities from energy, agriculture and metals are priced in dollars. If the dollar falters then it would take more dollars to buy the same amount of goods. That means that this blockbuster increase in consumer prices might look small in the future.

National ‘empty shelves’ crisis has worsened with the shortages of workers being made worse by wuhan illnesses.

Biden watch -

The Biden administration is facing rising pressure from congressional Democrats to ramp up its efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
OBSERVATION - At best, biden is operating in a response mode - not in a proactive mode. At worst, he is purposefully dragging his feet in an effort to maintain a state of fear that has so far provided cover for his tyrannical mandates. Remember, it has long ceased to be about the virus - but is all about power. Democrat Congresscritters are increasingly recognizing that their seats are on the line and the apparent biden buffoonery is pulling them down.

On his first day, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has eliminated the Office of Civil Rights. Miyares also announced he will prosecute criminal cases in jurisdictions where Soros DAs decline to prosecute, and he has already opened investigations into Loudon County Public Schools.
Miyares tweeted “As a candidate, I promised to investigate the scandals at the Virginia Parole Board and Loudoun County Schools.
As Attorney General, I am proud to say that the process has begun and the investigations are officially open.”
OBSERVATION - He will face an uphill fight, but firing the entire division he has seriously drained his swamp. Soro affiliated/supported DAs across the nation have driven the current crime crisis through non persecution and revolving door policies. It will be interesting to see the impact on crime that prosecuting criminals will have in Virginia This may wake up other blue areas.

Domestic Terror -

A male islamicist took several members of the Colleyville, TX Beth Israel synagogue hostage yesterday . The situation was ended Saturday evening when SWAT team stormed the building, freeding the hostages and killed the terrorist. The terrorist claimed to be the brother of Aafia Siddiqui, a terrorist convicted of trying to kill U.S. military personnel. Siddiqui AKA- Lady Al Qaeda - is a Pakistani neuroscientist who is currently serving an 86-year prison term in the US convicted of trying to kill US military officers while in custody in Afghanistan.
The identity of the terrorist has not been released. Some reports out there suggesting he was a British citizen.

So who is Aafia Siddiqui?
Siddiqui was born in Pakistan and came to the United States on a student visa in 1990 for higher education. She lived in the United States between 1991 and 2002. She studied at MIT and has a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Brandeis University.
She returned to Pakistan and married a relative of the 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Siddiqui was arrested in Afghanistan in 2008 in possession of documents about the manufacture of “dirty bombs” and notes about planned attacks against New York City landmarks such as the Empire State Building. Her marriage links probably are the main source of terrorist attempts to get her released over the years.

Russia -

INCREASED WARNING ONGOING - OSINT and other analysts are noting the continued build up of military assets that go far beyond those necessary for a military ‘exercise’. Putin has seriously deployed for combat and can execute several options at any moment.

Twitter feed are full of videos reportedly showing numerous trains carrying armored vehicles and other military equipment from the Far East military district to currently unknown destinations to the west. Other videos show soldiers assembling at train stations to be deployed to the west as well. General intelligence assessments are that these forces are being staged as a second wave support if needed, capable of entering a potential Ukrainan theater within a week. Most likely in case of a NATO counter offensive.
OBSERVATION - Completion of troop movements from the Far East Military District may well be one of the key indicators of impending attack. Must watch closely to see when the movements end and where these forces are staging. Once they are in place, I’d expect kickoff of a ground offensive. The addition of these forces also indicate Russia is planning for a much more extensive operation and /or stronger NATO military response. My reasoning being for the delay in any attack is that rail resources are already stretched moving those elements from the Far East Mil district and to try to continue the move while also trying to resupply/sustain a ground offensive would foul up both operations. A linear plan makes sense - reposition follow-on forces, freeing up logistic lines of supply.

Ukraine -

Kyiv believes hackers linked to Belarusian intelligence carried out a cyberattack that hit Ukrainian government websites and used malware similar to that used by a group tied to Russian intelligence. The strike was cover for more destructive actions behind the scenes.

Europe General -

Sweden - All three Russian Baltic Fleet Ropucha-class heavy landing ships departed Baltiysk yesterday afternoon and evening. They are likely joining the three Northern Fleet LSTs that caused Sweden to order troops to Gotland Island.
The Swedish Air Force’s S100B Argus early warning and control aircraft patrolled the Gotland coast earlier in the evening, where Russian warships were spotted.
OBSERVATION - Because of the current light defensive position of Gotland, a trimmed down amphibious assault by 6 Russian vessels doesn’t need the large numbers of combat support ships. At this stage, it is unlikely that Russia will attempt to take over the Island but is more of a show of force to jerk the chain of NATO and other Baltic Sea related countries. Capture of Gotland Island would permit expanded freedom of movement of Russian naval assets in the Baltic - threatening the Baltic states from the sea as well as from ground forces to the east.

Iraq -

The predominantly Shiite Muslim militias — several of which are backed directly by the Iranian military — have grown increasingly unpredictable and erratic during recent months, while their political backers in Baghdad struggled to maintain power and influence within the Iraqi government. The first two weeks of 2022 saw the militias launch at least four attacks on U.S. military or diplomatic installations, including a rocket attack Thursday that targeted the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. The risk to U.S. forces is likely to grow even worse in 2022, according to some analysts, who warn the Shiite militias in Iraq are increasingly prone to operating on their own volition regardless of what their Iranian backers may or may not want them to do. An even worse scenario could materialize if U.S.-Iran negotiations, aimed at securing a new deal to limit Tehran‘s nuclear program, fall apart. In that instance, Tehran could abandon all restraint and give a full green light to its proxies, potentially setting off a wave of drone attacks, suicide bombings, and other strikes aimed squarely at Americans.
OBSERVATION - A weak Iraqi govt and a senile biden continue to embolden Iranian supported militias - things will continue to deteriorate. These Iraninan supported militias are opposed by Sadr’s militias even though they share the same sect of Islam. Sadr has soured on Iran of late, preferring Iraqi leadership, not that from Tehran.

Lebanon -

Lebanese groups Hezbollah and Amal on Saturday said they would end a boycott of cabinet meetings. The decision paves the way for the crisis-hit country’s government to meet for the first time since October. The groups refused to attend cabinet meetings after a dispute over the handling of an investigation into the Beirut port blast in 2020.
Prime Minister Najib Mikati welcomed the decision to end the boycott and would call for a cabinet meeting when he received a draft 2022 budget from the Finance Ministry. A government-approved recovery plan was a prerequisite for resuming talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Syria -

Conflict in Syria is at a low point. Uncertain at this time if the extensive Russian bombing in support of Assad forces has been curtailed due to impending operations in Ukraine.
