My next door neighbor, a widow lady, is out of town a lot and we pick up her mail every day and hold it for her till she gets back.
She must be on every mailing list known to man.
Political fund raisers from all parties, charity fund raisers for every known illness and children’s group, catalogs for every mail order house on the planet, veterans groups and police and firemen, animal rights groups, they all come in. Every day the mailbox is stuffed full of begging letters.
Sometimes when she is gone for a month at a time the basket we keep her mail in is so heavy we have to help her carry it to her house...............
