>>There was an excellent article posted here two or three months ago on the challenges to get logistics systems running again after such interruptions<<

Not a plausible explanation.

Much of the country was locked down at this time in 2020 and 2021, yet grain harvests happened, grain was transported to where it was supposed to go, and livestock got fed.

What’s different now, other than Trump not being president?

One big thing is the price of diesel, and the rippling effect on transportation costs.

Last year, Democratic governor likely lost the popular vote count in his reelection bid as governor of New Jersey, but enough votes came from Democratic strongholds to pull him over the top.

Sounds like bunk to me. No mention in the article as to WHY the contracts are being cancelled.

Is there a clause that says new contracts per carry are required if fuel prices change significantly?

If so, new contracts will be quickly drawn up w/new rates.

More expensive, but no starving cattle.

Your #57 makes sense, but with a footnote:

There is compelling evidence the Dominion machines could be tweeked locally during the election sequence. I.e., the machines in states not having a bearing on the outcome could be allowed to produce accurate results while those in key states could be reprogrammed-”updated” to produce desired results.

We have become a nation quite accustomed to software updates.

Pretty sure all beef is delivered by truck. I am on the highways most days. Reefer trucks from Swift and a few other carriers are everywhere.

>>More expensive, but no starving cattle.<<

Except if the cost of feeding the cattle produces an economic loss, providing an incentive for the farmers to slaughter now for what they can get, and not breed new calves for next year, unless they have grain stockpiles.

But did the NOQ report writer need to use an esoteric legal term? No, but he did need to explain it’s meaning, which he did not do because he preferred that readers draw unwarranted conclusions about conspiracies.

This is how people get sucked into bullshit.

Officially it’s widespread labor disputes. I’m thinking, though, that the price of fuel may be making currently-contracted shipping contracts uneconomical, thus providing an incentive to encourage strikes in order to get out of the shipping contracts.

First thing I thought of when I saw the gasoline price increases was no more "I'll come look at your job you want done for free".

You want me there, you'll have to show a little gas money love up front.

Or call somebody else.

Oh, wait - THEY are all busy, too.

“Like box cutters on an airliner. That’s a one trick pony.”

Hmmmm. Are you seriously comparing the deaths of some 4,000,000 people to the 3,000 killed on 9/11? If not, what is the purpose of your comment? One-trick pony simply means that one only has one card to play, and that card is played over and over. Holodomor was a one-time mass murder from starvation and neglect, specifically focusing on one particular area and its inhabitants. It was not a repetitive tactic employed by Stalin (who had other terrors up his sleeve). I’m sorry, but I’m not getting the relationship.

I don’t know. But Warren Buffet does.

Soros' girl Jena Griswold out in Cheat-lorado wouldn't be soiling her skanties over the 3 counties that "retained" hard drive information if there wasn't something there.

That said, there was profligate mail-ballot box stuffing in 2020.

Kansas saved at least one and probably two Republican US House seats when their Pubbie Secretary of State required [over the squeals of vote-stealin' Democrat piggies] that the drop boxes be moved onto property controlled by the county clerks.

No, the unions bucked the mandate hard and the railroads pushed their compliance date back far enough for the Supreme Court to uphold the lower courts blocking of Biden’s executive order and then dropped them as a result.

I think there has been a shortage similar to the long standing trucker shortage, boomers are continuing to retire and millennials and zoomers are not as interested in these jobs or don’t know or realize they exist as a result of public school indoctrination in favor of college.

If your top logistics guys all retire, you’re left with dopes addicted to their phones and shit just doesn’t get done.

Whenever I read something hinky on FR, I always double check with the industry hot sheets for whatever industry the post is about.

That’s about the only real journalism left these days.

Thinking about the Holodomor, the grain confiscated,
obstensibly for export, was often left to rot at the
rail heads. I wonder what the railroad is going to do
with rail cars full of moldy grain, the farmers would
certainly refuse to accept the bad shipment.

This really is beyond belief.

Grains definitely available. Sitting two hours in line to deliver corn to CargillAg Dayton, Ohio. $7.44/bu causes a flood.
