It really annoys me when people say abortion is allowed in Judaism. The *commentaries* allow for the taking of a child in a breech birth which is not continuing. This is something with which any agricultural people would be familiar with in animal husbandry: the destruction of an animal blocking the birth canal and not emerging due to being in a breech position. The Jewish commentators extrapolated from this practice to allow it for humans, but not with the type of rigorous thought with which the Christians considered the situation. Even so, that is the only “permission” traditionally in Judaism for any type of abortion.
And all the losers with virtue signaling yard signs about their belief in “Science” dutifully nod.

What she and pro-abortion Jews assert as biblical approval of abortion was only a test for possible infidelity mentioned in Numbers 5:11-28. The test itself did not abort children. The woman didn’t even need to be pregnant for a jealous husband to demand the test. I suspect that an unfaithful wife would stall or completely refuse to drink the bitter concoction, thereby affirming to the priest that the husband was right and could probably divorce her without having the usual two witnesses required for a divorce based on adultery. Nothing in that chapter said that God approved of abortion or didn’t care about preborn babies.

Everything about those two verses indicate life and not an non-living object. And the process simply says life for life. Can’t get more direct than that.
And the muslim religion is less direct than that. The period when a fetus becomes ensouled can vary within the same madhab and sect even if general consensus exists. The Hanafi, Shi’is, Zaydi and some Shafi schools view the fetus as being ensouled at 120 days. However, other Shafi schools set the ensoulment stage of a fetus at 80 days. In the Maliki and Hanbali school of thought, ensoulment is placed at 40 days. The Ibadi position states that a fetus becomes ensouled right at the time of conception.
Most schools consider abortion permissible if the pregnancy poses a physical or psychological harm to the mother. The presence of fetal anomalies is also considered a reason to abort in most schools. So the determination of late term abortion is not accepted by any muslim religion post 120 days unless it is proven to be that physical or psychological harm to the woman
