Just because they walk it back doesn’t mean they regret what was said, or that they won’t act on it. At best they will just slow down their plans, for a day or two.

I did what I was told as the class was taking the test and all was quiet. I knew my father would hear of it and intervene. He had taught me to always tell the truth. As a Lawyer, he knew how to get the facts. He ended up meeting privately with the teacher and the teacher treated me kindly.

I was separated from the troublemaker and continued to score high in class. My continued good performance told the story.
