What is the movie?
Wasted post. The headline makes no sense. The link takes me to a demand to remove ad blockers.

George Taylor:
[riding down the beach in the last scene] [shocked] Oh, my God. I’m back. I’m home. All the time, it was— [falls to his knees] We finally really did it. [pounds the sand; angrily] YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! AH, DAMN YOU! GOD! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL! [camera pans to reveal the half-destroyed Statue of Liberty sticking out of the sand]
Dr. Strangelove.
One of the greatest movies of all time, made in 1965 IORC.
He'll always be Inspector Clouseau to me. I loved those movies as a kid. (Still do...)
If you haven’t seen it you have missed out on one of the greatest satirical movies ever made. Full of classic one-liners. Peter Sellers plays two very important characters, and speaks the last two sentences in the movie.
Trivia item, George C. Scott said afterward that he’d never work with Kubrick again for what he did to Scott’s character.
You gotta see it...
I gotta get some more BS flags—running low. The notion that one of our boomers surfaced in the middle of the Arabian, or any other, Sea, to take on a Flag for chitchat is so bleeping stoopid it may not even rate a BS flag. And then when Austin and Modern Millie come into the conversation you have to know the whole thing is made up stuff. We must have a convenient dock someplace where they all could just have a BBQ?
“One of the greatest movies of all time, made in 1965 IORC.”
It was released in 1964, but filming took place in 1963.
In the scene in the B-52 when Major Kong was going through the survival kit, the actual line was, “Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff.”
However, with the assassination of JFK in Dallas in November, 1963, that line was dubbed to say “Vegas” instead of “Dallas.”
Especially, you gotta see it before we get nuked.
The first Pink Panther was my favorite.
Well cool, one did not know that. Thanks for the trivia item.
This is the war room... :)
I remember the second the most. Probably due to my age.

“This is the war room... :)”
There’s no fighting in the War Room!
One of the great lines in movie comedy. Terry Southern was a genius.
Here here now. Let’s not spoil anything... :)
Yeah; you’re right.
The Kharzars refer to the rulers of this geographical region of the world from about the 6th Century,
The Khazars were Jewish (and other religions). During the 8th and 9th Century, they stopped the Muslims from conquering the region.
But, during the 9th Century, the Vikings starting arriving from the north and displaced the Kharzars.
In the 10th Century, a Viking ruler, Valdomar, converted to Christianity, and oriented Kiev to Byzantium. We can say this marked the beginning of modern day Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, but there’s a lot of story in between Valdomar and these present-day countries.
Both Vladimir Putin and Volodomir Zelensky are named after Valdomar.
