Temporary. It should be in effect until after midterms.
I don’t see much call to audit other than the years anyone’s in office. But, Trump’s clean. Always has been. It’s just harassment. He’s the most harassed guy in the world. He knows better than to do anything that would give them an opening.

I suspect whatever they had over him is going to go away as soon as Pelosi and Biden are gone.
Roberts is not stupid and he knows they will both be gone in 2 years.
Like all wealthy people Trump understandably avails himself of the best accountants and tax lawyers he can to minimize his tax burden. Just as most wealthy Democrat donors do by the way.
Some of it may well be in the gray area but that doesn’t make it illegal or evasive.
The Dems are looking to turn public sentiment against Trump for “evading taxes” by mischaracterizing, distorting and lying about his them. The Dems are very good at taking one isolated case of something and branding it into a full blown PR campaign. This is their game. They will stop at nothing to stop Trump.
Roberts didn’t do this because it was the lawful and right thing to do. His past decisions show he’s a liberal partisan. So why now.
I believe someone or some people with a conservative view have had a talk with him and finally knocked some sense into his head or maybe that someone is playing like the dimocrats who threatened him to rule in their favor.
Whatever the reason this is very unexpected of him.
IIRC, Obamacare moved forward around Christmas (eve or day) when the dem leadership called the congress back to session.
I wouldn’t put it past Nazzi to try a similar stunt -— if nothing more than to put ‘private’ (personal and protected) information into the public record.

Somehow I assume the Dems already have these records. This ruling make make it difficult for them to release them. Anyone seriously think the swamp has a document that Democrats can’t access?

1)Tax forms get leaked to dems from IRS, DOJ, FBI.... (likely happened already).
2)"J6 committee" asks DOJ to issue a subpoena. DOJ is happy to help.
You can’t use illegally stolen records in court, let alone the Supreme Court. You should know that.

You’re right about that. McCarthy has already taken impeachment off the table for notorious admin officials so what are they going to do? Prolly very little.

Exactly. I've been doing taxes for 51 years, worked for the IRS for 14 years, and have seen and prepared some very complex returns. Some of my client's returns are over 500 pages, and even I would have a hard time correctly interpreting Trump's returns. I bet there's fewer than 50 people in the country that could understand what his returns are about--and none of those 50 are democrats.
