For those among us who are not Americans, nm is the abbreviation for Nautical Miles. A nautical mile is "a unit of length used in air, marine, and space navigation" and is about 1.8 kilometers.
In countries that use miles instead of kilometers nautical miles are used, and for aviation they are the units used to define distance.

Oskar Schindler was a Nazi Party member who saved hundreds of Jews and was named “Righteous Among Nations” by Israel.
Helmut Kleinicke, was another Nazi Party member who saved hundreds of Jews and was named “Righteous Among Nations” by Israel.
Georg Ferdinand Duckwitz was a Nazi Party member who saved 7,000 Jews in Denmark.
Major Karl Plagge was a Nazi Party member who saved hundreds of Jews and was named “Righteous Among Nations” by Israel.
In total there are about 700 Nazi Party members who have been recognized for helping save Jews during the Holocaust.
That brings me to Raoul Wallenberg. He was a Swedish diplomat who saved perhaps thousands of Jews from the Holocaust. At the end of the war he was captured, imprisoned, and likely executed by who? Russia.
Because Stalin didn’t like people who saved the Jews.
