Trump reminds me a little of that Bengals player that pushed Mahomes late in the 4th quarter. For most of the game, he's a critical and dominant part of the team, and you wouldn't be anywhere close to a championship without him. But that passion and fire sometimes goes just a bit too far.
Trump is focused entirely on the 2024 campaign, and he'll bring a great deal of energy to it. But he has to realize that not everyone is an enemy.

No, he doesn't. He can simply ignore it, and come off looking like the adult in the room. It's a simple issue he should address. If DeSantis has a good response, why not say it?

I don't care if everything he said is true. Trump needs to stop this and recognize he's losing voters over this. Our so-called party needs some solidarity and Trump is dividing it. He would have done far better to have said, “I don't think DeSantis is the person we need right now. He needs to continue doing the great job he's doing in Florida and then run for the White House after my next term is over”.

Sometimes a guy who was a great POTUS just doesn’t get it. Going against Reagan’s 11th commandment. Never speak ill of another Republican. Can you imagine what a ticket like Trump-DeSantis would do.......unbeatable. Sometimes Trump’s mouth is his own worst enemy.

DeSantis will not respond, and IMHO this strategy will not work for Trump this time.
Trump has been saying the right things policy wise and that’s what he should concentrate on.
He needs the eventual support of DeSantis and I guess with this behavior he won’t get it, not to the best degree.
We’ll see.

Trump should NOT be degrading DeSantis in public. Democrats do not go on the air and mock their comrades. For whatever reason, Trump doesn’t understand this.So now criticizing fellow Republicans in a primary is forbidden?
And what's so degrading about answering the point that Trump brings up. The DeSantis pearl clutching around here is getting embarrassing.
And I don't blame DeSantis for that.
