I can confirm. The large crowd I was with was large, loud, angry yet peaceful. But the Capitol police continually threw flash bangs and teargas into the crowd.
The morons also threw them into the wind.
We were far enough away that they didn’t affect us beyond occasional whiffs of teargas.
The fourth largest police department in America were very unimpressive.
As I understand, a flash bang grenade exploded right next to them which triggered heart attacks.

Whoever made the decision to fire on the crowd made a strategic error because he didn't know who he was dealing with.

The thing that amazed me most were the waves of people fighting their way up the steps under the left scaffolding.
A cop said 10 to 1. I SAW 200-300 to 1.
Unbeknownst to me at the time, this is what sparked that surge...Young Man Thrown Off Wall by Violent Capitol Police Officer of January 6th!
If that crowd had wanted those cops dead they would BE dead, weapons or not! ALL OF THEM. Fists and feet would have been the weapons.
