If they are bankrolling the candidate and are their surrogates, then, yea, they are responsible and so is RDS. Any candidate who has a PAC speaking for them and they make statements that are not approved by the candidate should be immediately fired and disbanded. Let’s see if RDS does that in this case.

You do realize that it would be a huge violation of federal campaign finance laws for DeSantis to exercise operational control of a PAC like that, right?
They certainly look like a team for DeSantis..
We’ll see if any official statements come out or if the DeSantis team will just let this sort of speak for them, rightly or wrongly.

Ok, sure, so then anyone who says anything and also supports a candidate can be declared a “surrogate” for a candidate and we can condemn the candidate for what the candidate didn’t actually say.
Except... that’s exactly what the media does to Trump. Remember how many times they demanded that he renounce all his supporters over QAnon, or any other crazy thing that they might also have talked about? You just want to pull the same sleazy tactic.

Nobody has presented any statement at all from DeSantis about this PAC. Go out and find one and show it to me, and then I’ll decide whether I think he’s lying or not.
