It was used as the primary reason. The timing is being ignored.
12:45 -FBI, Capitol Police, and ATF responded to the pipe bomb found outside RNC headquarters.
12:58 -Capitol Police chief asks house and senate sergeants-at-arms to declare an emergency.
1:05 -Congress meets in joint session to confirm Joe Biden’s electoral victory.
-Acting Secretary of Defense Miller receives open-source intelligence reports of demonstrators moving towards the U.S. Capitol.
1:10 -Trump ends his speech.
2:12 -The first rioter enters the Capitol through the broken window in the Senate wing of the building, opening a door for others.
2:16 -Federal Protective Service officers report that the House and Senate are being locked down.
2:20 - The house is gaveled into recess.
2:42 -The Senate Chamber is breached by rioters.
So, anyone with the least bit of knowledge about time can easily see the pipe bombs were the cause of the emergency declaration.

Yeah...how about ‘comply or face contempt’? ...put somebody behind bars. This looks nothing like an entity that is made up of ‘we the people’...it’s completely rogue.
That would be nice, to lock someone up, but remember Eric Holder. A contempt charge didn’t seem to hurt him a whole lot.
