Would it not be ironic if they find this tin can intact and upon forensic examination they discover that the cause of the tragedy was that the batteries in the X-box controller died and they forgot to pack along a spare set of AAA batteries?

He didn’t want to hire anyone who knew what they are doing. They would tell him the sub wasn’t being built right, like the manager who criticized safety and was fired.
I read there were other trips down...but to where I do not know.
Playing games in an environment where there are a thousand things that can go wrong and each of these can kill you, isn’t smart.
From the little I have read and heard, it sure sounds like this was an accident waiting to happen.
This is right up there with putting a kid on a Jerry rigged drone and flying them around, going up hundreds of feet... Some people are simply idiots with billions and build high cost subs to kill themselves and others with.

It's a little strange that there hasn't been much information about Ocean Gate and whether its made such voyages to the Titanic wreckage before, or whether this was a first time trip. Maybe there will be more about the history of the company now that the fate of this one is known.
It is not like Titanic in that it went down and came back up a few times. All systems Go.
