IN a nutshell, yes we are heading into totalitarianism. The left wants religiousity, without God. If you were to send a Christian and a liberal into an MRI machine and tested them on issues of morality and kindness and charity and mercy, both brains would light up the same way. The left simply believes that goodness must be imposed upon by force.

Makes me think of the time, 60+ years ago, that a bunch of us were hanging around a cop setting up a speed trap across the street. After shooing us away, he allowed me and one or two others to stay.
I have no recollection of what transpired from there on, but he achieved his goal ... I’ve been pro-cop ever since, even if ... well ... you know, the sixties.
