We shall see what happens with the current UFO disclosure effort. It seems that the US government intends to slowly admit that UFOs are real and rely on new physics and technology. I suspect that the US will also disclose that we have learned enough to attain a technological edge over other countries.

Notably, in the 1950s, research on antigravity technologies began to disappear from the published physics literature -- along with some of the researchers. There are hints that the entire research subject was absorbed into the world of black projects.

For the US government, UFO disclosure could bolster belief that we had achieved technological breakthroughs that provide the beginnings of mastery of gravity, inertia, and new energy technologies. This might help fend off China's push for strategic gains at the risk of military conflict.

That seems to be the case. Most of the government doesn't actually know anything about those things. The secrecy was applied to both civilians and government people. Dark projects are really dark.

In 1997, a friend of mine had to extend a private business trip to the Sandia National Labs because the Phoenix Lights occurred just before he arrived and put the place in an uproar. What he saw and heard there from experts as they did sophisticated analysis of the video convinced him that UFOs were real. He also told me that word came down from the top to cooperate with a reporter from USA Today, with the result being a detailed article a month later that gave credibility to the UFO phenomenon.

With a background in intelligence work as a field agent and at a high level in Washington, my friend concluded that gradual UFO disclosure was going to take place because so much evidence was getting into the public domain. And the discussions at Sandia were as you suggest, with people who had top secret clearances bickering over the UFO subject -- and many accusing the US government of a cover-up. My friend's wife, a devotee of the paranormal, got the satisfaction of a big I-told-you-so.

I saw a UFO in the late 70’s in northern Minnesota... about 2 in the afternoon, sunny day, my three kids in the truck with me driving down an empty back woods open fields road.

Between the time I saw it and the time it went overhead was fast. It traveled so low that three telephone poles stacked on top of each other would have touched the bottom of the thing.

Here’s what I noticed: there was NO SOUND. And even stranger the leaves on the trees at the side of the road were not moved. It was like the thing was flying in a tube. It’s possible these things are not ‘making right hand turns on a dime - but are manipulating the background (our physical reality). So for them they’re moving in a straight line.

Longtime UFO researchers such as Jacques Vallee believe UFO's are not physical craft but something like a vision produced by the occupants, who are not highly evolved extraterrestrials but elemental spirits. If so, and I agree with Vallee, then your suggestion has merit because elemental spirits have power over fire, air, water, and matter, which means they can manipulate our physical reality.

It is also the case that these ‘ships’ seemingly appear and disappear. UFOlogists believe this is because they are extra dimensional and they enter into and depart our realm through astral gates.
