I 100% agree. But worth the crazy hype Colorado has gotten since Saturday? They are worth some atta-boys, but the hype they've received is over the top until they prove themselves against competition like USC and Oregon.
Nominee for post of the week.
Still, it’s Mission Accomplished. CU will probably wind up with the Number One recruiting class next year.
Yea, I kind of agree, see my post: https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4179821/posts
But just like with Trump, sometimes you just have to ignore what comes out of their mouths.
It is, but it’s Coach Prime and how much hype he gets, the cowboy hat he wears, his coaching style the bringing in of 70+ transfers, etc..
Coaches like Nick Saban taking shots at him.
They’re all sorts of reason why CU is being hyped.
This is the new world of College Football. You can go from “Rags to Riches” and vice-versa in the span of one season.
There’s no more building a program. It’s now or never, and unfortunately that’s what Billy Napier finds himself in.
He thinks he’s got five years? No, he doesn’t.
They are still doing Aflac commercials together.
Blasphemy. Comparing SOS to Deon is assinine. And only a very few coaches did not like Spurrier. Mostly it was rivals at UT, FSU and UG.
And Deon hasn’t won jack.
Yeah, but he’s sure pissed off the FSU faithful.
In a way, unfortunately, that’s also going to motivate FSU this year.
Yeah, not looking forward to the FSU game like usual. Spectrum cable has made it easy for me to not watch games as they are in a dispute with Disney/ESPN so all those channels are unavailable. Meh. Whatever.
If you missed watching the Utah game, consider yourself lucky.
LOL. I do consider myself lucky on that point. Tried to listen on the radidio. Worse still..
I’m a UF alum and 30 year season ticket holder that watched Deion play in high school, he was fantastic in high school and college and was NFL HOF player
Spurrier was not well liked before he came to UF, it didn’t help when he ran up the score on North Carolina one year
You don’t like the comparison because you don’t like Deion but they are in different eras but similar in a of ways
It’s just an observation
Deion was 27-6 at Jackson State, was 2-time coach of the year in the SWAC and won the conference title the last two years, combined with being a Hall of Fame NFL player and 2-time Super Bowl champion and played two professional sports at the same time is winning a lot IMO
What sold me on Deion was seeing his talks in the lockerroom.
Those kids probably never had anything resembling a father figure in their lives. Deion instills values in them, like no one else could. He’s got his own style, and it works.
TCU was ranked #17.
IF they can go .500, they are a success.
What he said is 100% true though. 100%.
He’s assimilating to his environment and the culture of Colorado, and you don’t keep anyone from a 1-11 team. They had to go.
That right there!!!!
