I actually like Deion okay because he played for the Braves back when I was a big fan of the team. I’ll never forget him playing in a MLB and NFL game on the same day.
Before Spurrier came to coach at UF most people hadn’t heard much about him so I didn’t see anyone hating on him.
As for Deion, he just doesn’t have a humble bone in his body. Not role model material in my book as so many are saying.
Things start shaking out at about the 4th game. We don’t really know how good Colorado is, or how bad tcu is. We could have witnessed a competitive game with two mediocre teams.

Go ask the UNC and ACC coaches and fans when Spurrier was coach at Duke, he was not well liked in that league.

I remember the first gator game after 9/11 was in Lexington, my wife and I went to the game from Jacksonville.
One of the fraternities had a big sign on the front of the frat house that said, SPUCK FURRIER...and OSAMA BIN SPURRIER.

Spurrier would be great on a regular football Saturday show like Gameday (or maybe a competitor show) as the comic relief combined with the respect of a successful former coach.
Basically, what Lee Corso was in Gameday’s early years before Corso got too old, except Coach Visor would be much better at it.
I’ll say Bama +14. It’s going to be the toughest game of their season in my opinion. I’ll get drunk in Sarc’s place!!
