Just went through that last weekend on trip to vegas. When I asked about my cash and not wanting to put in basket, he said, just hold it in your hand when you go through X-ray. So I did and no problem except for the staples still inside me that showed up and had to get patted down.

My guess is that the dismissals are based not on race but on political favoritism for the defendants or their attorneys. After a decade or so, Florida's elected state attorneys tend to curdle and go bad, and the state attorney for Miami-Dade, Katherine Fernandez-Rundle, has been in office for over thirty years.
