yikes!
this is pathetic
My wife’s niece’s son is four and still wearing diapers. He certainly could be trained but the parents are irresponsibly letting him get away with it. They are doing the child NO FAVORS.M

This is a stretch but bear with me. My son’s Mother-in-law’s grand son just turned 6 years old and still sucks a pacifier.
I know all the party’s involved. As far as I know the poor child is potty trained.

Some of us were not only potty-trained, but could read before entering kindergarten!

Some of us didn’t even have kindergarten in our little country schools. I started school in first grade when I was six years old
Permissive parenthood is the bane of our existence.
5 year olds still not potty trained. Unbelievable.
My Dad, two Grandfathers, and an old wounded WWI vet I used to hang out with as a little kid all had elements of Mr. Cleaver. Pretty lucky...
Freaking nuts!!! Our kids pretty much self trained and could not wait to get rid of the diaper mess. They didn’t like the filth on them. It took little encouragement to “potty train” them. These people are downright flippin’ nuts and animals to boot.
The super-absorbent plastic diapers and pull-ups keep the kid feeling so dry that they are not uncomfortable with a diaperful of pee until it begins to gush over.
I had the extraordinary experience of helping a neighbor with her 4-year-old during the plandemic shutdown. My own kid had ditched the diapers at age 1-1/2. But the neighbor’s kid had not had much opportunity to be socialized and was completely unconcerned about filling her diaper. The first time she overpeed her pullup and wet her clothing and then sat on the sofa while I was watching her, I put her right in the bathtub without her floaty toys.
She was outraged. Too bad. She didn’t do that to me again.
Finally her grandmother showed up and finished the “training” in a couple of days.
The government programs that pay for diapers are called "no arrest for theft under $900", "no-bail", and "retail theft with intent to sell."
Also, many churches collect diapers and send them to women's shelters. My otherwise conservative church does this.
Organized shoplifting is a $100-billion problem. Here's why we're all screwed
