I don’t see how he is that. Everything is in the open.
He didn’t leave the Republican party for the Independents...

What you’re saying makes sense. The only thing it may not be taking into account are younger, Bernie-type Democrats who are thinking of switching to Trump but decide to switch to RFK instead.

Anyone who says Kennedy defecting from the Democrat Party to run as an Independent will hurt Trump is wistful thinking, spewing some leftscum media meme, has no clue how this type of thing works, or some combination thereof.

Short version: Nobody even remotely willing to vote for Trump will not vote for a former Democrat who goes Independent this late in the election cycle. Now if Kennedy would have gone full Republican, maybe. Or if he had defected from the Republican Party or been unaffiliated before deciding to run.

All this can do is hurt Biden or whoever takes Biden’s place as the Democrat nominee.

Difference is that Perot was the populist and Bush was the conservative. Kennedy’s a global warming cultist so will more likely pull more votes away from Biden (unless they replace him) than from Trump.

Doubt there are many of those. Most likely such people were going to stay home. Now they might have someone to vote for. That's it.

Yeah. RFK Jr. will be easy pickings for both the Democrat and Republic nominees.

Dude. Did you actually read my post? My point was that I expected him to be more appealing to Biden voters than to Trump voters, and therefore to be more of a danger to Biden than to Trump. Everything you posted bears that out. What am I missing?

Oh for those who don’t understand what is going on with the leftscum media: The meme is RFK Jr. running as an Independent means Trump will lose to Biden (or whoever) and therefor our side should choose another candidate as the Republican nominee. That’s the sum and total of the meme.

Would RFK not be similar in effect to John Anderson in 1980, who managed to take 6.6% of the vote and probably mostly from weak incumbent Jimmy Carter (41.0%), helping Ronald Reagan to get elected (50.7%). Libertarians got only 1% and far left fringe candidates about 0.6%.

Anderson was a liberal Republican which is not a lot different from RFK’s centrist Democrat credentials. I could foresee a similar result, it’s fairly obvious that Anderson drained votes at least equally from a surging Reagan and a lame duck Carter, and also from Libertarians who often got closer to 2 or 3 per cent of popular vote.

I don’t see RFK as a big threat to Trump, really Trump’s only real opponent is big city voter fraud, the actual vote for Biden if re-nominated is likely to be 35 to 40 per cent.

He’s a climate change worshipper, so I expect he’ll peel off more RATs than GOPs.

“Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. did not commit suicide.”

However, he did encourage his former wife to do exactly that. He’s a peach.

I think most of those who haven’t glued themselves to museum walls will probably vote for Biden or the Green candidate.

No sheep, just a wolf.

He doesn’t mince words when describing his Democrat roots and beliefs. He will always walk in the shadows of the Kennedy dynasty. Nonetheless he’s not your modern rancorous Rat

RFK Jr. is a GIGANTIC flaming far lefty!

But for some weird reason or other ( the Vax thing and/or they HATE Trump? ), there are quite a few morons here who think he's great.

The whole stupid, made up "KENNEDY MYSTIC" thing is long dead for Gen Xers through Gen Zers; the vast majority of whom don't even know much of anything at all about that family.

He’s got to be pretty brain-dead if he thinks his own party won’t nominate him but he still could win in the general election.
