You are correct. The real question is why all the weapons were not removed or destroyed when we left Afghanistan? C4 for the artillery pieces and diesel for the warehouses of arms and ammunition aircraft and vehicles. There is only one logical explanation. Joe Biden wanted the Taliban to have these billions of dollars of weapons. That is giving "aid and comfort" to the enemy. Joe Biden committed an act of treason.

None of that money could have possibly ended up in the pockets of the wrong people, or some of those weapons could have never ended up on the black market.
The same crap happens whenever this country sends any kind of aid to countries, whether it's for storms, earthquakes, tsunamis, even war. Why do you think we sent Army Rangers into Mogadishu in 1993? It was because the US-supported UN aid that had been sent to help the Somalis during their Civil War, was being controlled by dictator Mohamed Farrah Aidid, and it wasn't getting to the people who needed it.
During the Vietnam War, goods that were being shipped to South Vietnam for the people of South Vietnam, ended up on the black market. I know, because my brother was stationed in Cu Chi, Vietnam in '66-'67, and he said that there was a massive amount of items sent by the U.S. to South Vietnam, that were found in the Viet Cong tunnels at Cu Chi. And that was only one part of Vietnam. It doesn't matter what this country sends, some of it is going to end up on the black market.

Colonel Douglas Macgregor (ret.) has said for some time that the Ukraine was selling some of the weapons it receives to Isis and other middle eastern militias, so this post is likely real.
Also, Hamas wants the funding the Ukraine receives currently, so it doesn’t mind bragging about weapons given to the Ukraine if that suppresses further donations to the Ukraine.

The money spent on the Russia/Ukraine War was the stupidest thing our government wasted money on that I can remember.
They have serial numbers, should not be very hard to trace origin. I’m not jumping to conclusions, but tracing the numbers will probably show multiple paths on the weapons.
But it is clear that some of them came from US production.
Yesterday I saw a thread that showed many that came from Gaddaffi’s stock.
We will see, probably. If a lot of the are from USA, we will never see that in print.
