The Little Rascals dog was an American Staffordshire Terrier. Close though.
Just saw this at my vets waiting room of office. Pit bull seemingly sweet and gentle sitting with owner. Lady with Chihuahua walks in and pit bull lunged in a strike to kill move that would have crushed and swallowed the Chihuahua if the owner of it hadn’t pulled it away quickly. The owner of the pit bull said, “Oh, I guess they don’t get along”. Sure. Scariest thing I’ve ever seen.
Ha! There was a time when he would have been all over this thread. He was a one-man anti-pit bull campaign.

One of my favorite lines from Little Rascals:
Buckwheat’s mother is sitting by the bed with Buckwheat covered except his head. The doctor comes in to see Buckwheat who is shivering under the covers. The doctor pull the blanket back and Buckwheat is covered with ice cubes. Doc says “What is this?” Buckwheat’s mother says:
“But doctor, you done told me to isolate him!”

I live in a fancy upscale area, and 3/4 of the dogs in the local shelter are pit or pit mix. I don’t know if they are brought in from the south or the city, or the upscalies decide a pit is too much for them and pass them back to a shelter.
A woman had a pit on the other side of the street and that animal was looking at me in a not good, intense way. And the woman did not look like someone who had the strength to manage any big dog acting up let alone a pit. Lucky for me she doesn’t seem to live around here.
I had a red heeler who loved people, but she would have killed any other dog in her path given half a chance.
